A second man wanted in connection with a Phoenix shooting on Sunday has been arrested in western Colorado, police said.

The Colorado State Patrol said Allen Robinson, 31, and Susan Gonzalez, 30, were taken into custody Tuesday morning on Interstate 70 near Rifle. Two children traveling with them, an 11-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, were placed in the care of state social workers.

His arrest came one day after another man turned himself in after the driver of a car was shot to death Sunday over an apparent discussion about professional boxers.

Robert Brown, 32, was booked into jail in connection with the murder of 20-year-old Francisco Juarez, according to Officer James Holmes of the Phoenix Police Department.

Robinson is believed to be the trigger man, police said.

Phoenix police detectives distributed numerous bulletins to law enforcement agencies all over the nation advising that Robinson was a suspect in a homicide. The bulletin also described the vehicle he would be riding in, along with a woman and two small children.

The information was read at a Colorado DPS briefing Tuesday morning, and a sharp trooper saw what he believed to be the suspect's vehicle. He conducted a traffic stop, determined that it was the correct car and took Robinson into custody without incident.

Holmes said the suspects allegedly pulled alongside the car containing Juarez and a 19-year-old passenger, and Robinson is suspected of firing numerous times into the car, striking Juarez more than once.

The shooting happened after the four discussed Saturday night's Floyd Mayweather-Miguel Cotto professional fight while standing outside a Circle K store. Robinson apparently took offense to the victim saying they were not fans of Mayweather, Holmes said.

The unidentified passenger suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, Holmes said.

Officers also said they located the suspect's vehicle, which Brown was believed to have been driving, Holmes said.

About 1:45 a.m. Sunday, officers said the car carrying the victims had struck a wall of an automotive business in the area of North Central Avenue and West Hatcher Road.

The victims had driven to the Circle K store at 1100 W. Hatcher to make a purchase, Holmes said. The two suspects had attempted to purchase alcohol from the clerk but had been refused because they were intoxicated, Holmes said.

The suspects asked the victims to purchase alcohol for them, but the 19-year-old told the men that he was underage, Holmes said. The victims then left the store.

The victims were traveling on West Hatcher when the suspects pulled alongside. The passenger opened fire. Francisco was struck numerous times, Holmes said.

The 19-year-old victim said that there was a discussion about the boxers, but there was never an angry confrontation between the suspects and him and his friend.
