Resident Evil 5 = Pile of Shit (possible spoiler if you don't know already it's a pile of shit)

I like the first one but can't think of a series that has gone so far down hill as this. At least the Matrix stopped at 3.

Running time of 96 minutes with 10 of it being recaps of the previous films. Terrible garbage. Too much slow motion, dream within a dream nonsense, impossibly stupid shoot-outs and fight sequences. They managed to bring all the characters of the previous films back in a retarded way.

Very little zombies.

Final score = D

I completely agree. The first Resident Evil is excellent. It's got a great story, good acting, great pacing, and the tension is none stop. Very well crafted movie.

Resident Evil 2, 3, 4, 5, 6789 are all shit. You just don't give a damn what happens to the characters. Mila Jovovovovovovovitches sex appeal is kind of meh, and her super powers just now seem to come out of nowhere. The movie series even break their own established rules to advance the film series.

They need to realize that bad stories, acting and scripts cannot be saved by good special effects. Please: No more Resident Evil movies.

Oh in case no one remembers, here's another piece of Mila Jovovovovovvitch shit

It is Resident Evil + Futuristic Vampires + lots of questionable style + stupid situations + dance numbers disguised as sword and gun play. All of the characters have a kind of SMART BLUR filter to give them super-smooth (and slighly CG'ish) skin which is distracting and stupid. The very beginning of the movie is a flip-through comic book (think Marvel Movies) that make it look like a comic book adaption even though its not. WTF? The only thing that makes it slightly tollerable is some interesting music here and there and a couple of cool camera moves. Oh and you get to see her bum for a few seconds. That's IT.

I almost walked out. Honestly. It was total shit. Maybe one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

It did suck pretty bad overall, but that fight in the white hallway with the zombies was bad-ass.

I'll watch it the same way I watch most movies.

On Netflix, HBO, or Showtime.

I saw Dredd instead and I thought Dredd was pretty good (well in a mindless action kind of way).

Was that the one shot in Toronto, with the Toronto city hall doubling as some kind of lab? If so then yeah, that one sucked big time alright.

Dredd's also on the list. I'll see any comic book movie. But need something with execution of a decent story that isn't 95% shot on green screen.

good story > special effects

Funny enough, Dredd felt like a movie made by a real filmmaker. It had some style going for it, and I wasn't expecting that. The bad guy(girl) was great, and something different than the usual stock character, and some of the photography and 3D was just fucking stunning to watch.

Wow I loved it. I was on the edge of my seat. I love all the RE movies. If there on tv I will watch them unless the NFL is on.

Think you jumped ahead, they just release Resident Evil 5 (unless you meant the video game). Dredd's still on the list. Maybe this weekend.

That feel when the trailers for the movies are better than the actual movie.

I saw Dredd in 3d...Awesome movie! Afterwards I was forced to sneak into Resident Evil 9000. The funny thing is I expected it to be horrible and it was even worse than that!

good story > special effects
You'll love Dredd...just check out some of the reviews it's been getting and the praise from people on IMDB and such.

They really nailed it and even if you don't like the comics, it's a great sci-fi action flick, PIRIOD. I was really blown away with how great it turned out.
