Help, Google play app downloading not working...

Got the GF a new galaxy S3 mini today. All worked fine till all of a sudden apps from the play store are not downloading anymore. It says downloading but isn't doing anything

Anyone got an idea? Tried Google without any luck so far.

Stupid suggestion, but did you try something as simple as rebooting the phone? I think my Galaxy SIII had the same problem at one point and just restarted it.

Since its new and nothing is on there try a factory reset. Also I assume you don't have it set to wifi only and are not on wifi.

How about signing in to G from your desktop and installing the app from there?

That is how I have installed all my android apps, have never actually installed an app from Play via the phone directly.

I like to read the reviews and such before I install any apps and it is just easier to do so on a larger monitor, so I just always install my apps to the phone from my desktop signed into G. It's usually pretty instant and I find it a little easier to keep track of what apps I have via the desktop as well.

Sounds like the OP might need to do as someone suggested and do a factory reset maybe? Not sure what else I would try.

Hmm idk then. I have my configured to only do apps on wifi because Verizon has metered data now and we already use 8 GB/mo. Figured it might be that.
