I'm buying FARE this morning.. Talk me out of it
In my infinite wisdom of lack of trading brilliance, I'm going to buy a promo AFTER it has already gone up a good bit.
Just got a fresh e-mail from awesome over the weekend (one of the best promoters) and it's supposedly only a 10k (eur) promo BUT supposedly it's going to be ongoing (for two months) --- and it smells to me like the promoters got a pretty good sized position without letting anyone know. http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/FARE/chart http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/FARE/quote As far as I know, since I didn't get in around $.15 I may lose my ass.. but what the hell. From my lack of knowing what I am talking about I'm feeling like this is going to go to at least sixty!! Also I have a made up figure of 85% certainty that it will either go 60+ OR drop down and find support around $0.15 (for awhile) So there's a fictional 90% chance that I have a fifty fifty chance of losing half of my money or tripling it which may be an eighty five percent chance of tripling it!! I am an expert, now |

It's a penny stock man, you never buy into the bull shit stories they tell about the company doing this and that. Those stories are a dime a dozen and pump & dumps are just as plentiful.
They get away with out right lies because the FTC doesn't regulate penny stocks, so the scammers fuck people daily with bull shit stories while doing their pump & dumps. The ONLY way you trade penny stocks is via momentum trading and that's still risky as hell. |

Pump and Dumps seem to be pretty wonderful http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505144_1...ck-pump--dump/ except for morons who go long and stay in (believing what is being said about the intrinsic value of the actual company instead of realizing that 99.9% of penny companies are trash)

I have evidence!! Just have a look at this big load of clearly ridiculous bullshit the promoter e-mail blasted, this evening:
Hello Everyone, What a great way to start off 2013! FARE managed to nearly double in a single week and is set to continue this monstrous uptrend throughout the month at the very least. We are in the midst of a full-blown rally in the general markets and FARE is taking full advantage of it. The Asian market for FARE is so enormous that it is extremely hard for us in America to understand just how big it is. Take New York's Manhattan for instance; a small but dense area. It also has the most cabs in all of America. Now imagine if all those cabs were motorcycle taxis, and multiply it by ten. Then multiply it again a hundred times over because that's how many "Manhattans" there are in Asia. Imagine for a moment if the cab fares in Manhattan were not regulated. If you hopped in a cab and had no idea how much your fare is about to cost you how odd would that be? It doesn't make any sense does it? That's precisely why FARE's technology is about to change the way moto-taxis are run. Not only is it about to modernize and standardize this mode of transportation, but thanks to this standardization FARE is about to bring full trust back into the business. This in turn means that people who used to not utilize this service will begin to use it more regularly and frequently because they know that they are paying fair market value. The way Bill Gates' Microsoft revolutionized the computer industry is precisely what FARE is about to do to the moto-taxi industry. Microsoft (split-adjusted) used to be a penny stock believe it or not and now it is one of the largest corporations in the world. What if you could buy FARE for just 25 cents and watch it soar to multiple dollars as it captures the biggest markets in the world wouldn't you say it's a good deal? Well, you can buy it for 25 cents on Monday (if it doesn't rise too quickly!). Even in the short term the chart is pointing towards a dollar which is about quadruple from current levels. Not too shabby! You should seriously consider buying FARE if you are a person who is serious about grabbing good opportunities whenever you can. As you know we have featured several great companies in the past few months but only few of them were as hot as FARE and we can clearly see that just by looking at how quickly its share price is rising. The demand for FARE shares is through the roof a the moment, and it may be impossible to buy shares for a bargain on Tuesday so act quickly tomorrow if you want to be able to snap a few in the 25 cent range! Your AwesomePennyStocks Editor. And here's even more ridiculous bullshit they sent out just yesterday Hello Everyone, We hope you are enjoying your weekend. On this Saturday, we would like to quickly recap the stellar performance that FARE had this past week and why our members should look forward to an even bigger week ahead! This past week, FARE gained a total of 38% reaching an all-time high of 26.5 cents. This is by far the most positive and biggest week for FARE in its trading history. Our feelings are that FARE has caught the attention of large institutional buyers and momentum investors who are buying shares in World Moto Inc. for a much larger move North! There are still rumors looming that FARE could be on the brink of revealing a contract in the hundred of millions. If announced, members can expect FARE to reach new all time high. Monday could be your last chance to buy FARE under 30 cents before it soars to $1! Technical Analysis on FARE : Perfect Storm Ahead! The chart on FARE is one of the most amazing one we've ever seen in our years of experience. Current technical indicators are showing very bullish and positive signals that an imminent breakout is still on the agenda for FARE: #1- The RSI and MACD, which measure the strength of a momentum, are both trending upward and showing no signs of slowing down. Furthermore, it has not topped yet and both indicators are clearly getting stronger by the day! #2- Volume has been steady and healthy this whole past week and we expect the attention on FARE could grow even bigger as more investors and institutional buyers are jumping on this company before a huge breakout! #3- The trend lines which we annotated in blue clearly shows that FARE is forming a very tight uptrend channel and pointing in the direction of a massive breakout that would bring FARE to a whole new price level. It is not too late to jump on FARE, the current breakout is catching the attention of even more buyers and our members can still stand to profit from this positive uptrend and potentially see another 300% in gains! Your AwesomePennyStocks Editor. People LOVE ridiculous bullshit This is a very strong promoter This is (probably) a long promo I think the promoter has an undisclosed position It's clear that ridiculous bullshit is the key to this investment. |

Duck And Cover!
An example of AwesomePennyStocks emailing.
http://mainsleaze.spambouncer.org/?p=2020 "AwesomePennyStocks.com: Stock-Pumping Spam via an ESP " "Stock-promotion web site AwesomePennyStocks.com, which reportedly has existed under many other names in the past, is sending bulk email to an email address that has never existed. The ESP is IContact. Except for the fact that it was sent from a valid ESP account, this spam closely matches the characteristics of stock pumping spam, which is also called pump’n'dump spam. This type of spam is sent to advertise a stock with the aim of driving up the price, so that the stock pumper can then sell his own shares at a higher price. This type of activity is illegal in the United States, and I believe in a number of other countries. I can’t be certain that this email is true pump’n'dump spam, but the spam itself and the characteristics of the domain both look very much like that is the case. Specifically, like most criminal pump’n'dump spam, there is no advertised URI, email address, or other contact information in the email. The spam sample below shows the complete text of the spam to illustrate this. When you think about it, this makes sense, because what a stock pumping spammer wants is for the spam victim to buy stock on the exchange where it is listed, not directly from him. So he does not need to provide contact information. There is no pretense of opt-in, also sensible because a spammer who is not afraid of the SEC isn’t going to worry about CAN-SPAM. There is an unsubscribe URL, but that was added by IContact as part of their template. As I commented in my blog yesterday about security issues and email, criminal spammers are increasingly using legitimate mailservers to send their spam. Some sign up for accounts normally, never intended to obey the ESPs AUP/TOS, as this spammer appears to have done. Some compromise accounts belonging to existing customers. The ESPs have to be on the watch for both. I am quite certain that this is not the sort of customer that IContact wants. Sending IP: 216.27.93.110 Spam Sample: Actual Headers: Received: from drone121.ral.icpbounce.com (drone121.ral.icpbounce.com. Today’s pick is: GWBU Hey everyone, We have enormous faith in GWBU and there is a reason for that, and that reason is; factual evidence! GWBU NAILED The efficiency tests with beyond amazing results! You may have noticed that often our winning stocks are extremely promising, however the reason the stock market is generally considered a risk is that often the success of a product or a brand is an assumption, rarely a fact. The reason GWBU is headed for the stars and expected to leave 2$ far in the past soon is because the revolutionary technology that they are mass marketing has been tested, proven and sold! That’s right, due to the result of extremely positive tests conducted in Poland, we now know that the Fuel Efficiency and Emission Device (FEED) is responsible for a dramatic reduction in emissions as well as increased mileage in the range of 14%. This is absolutely a revolutionary step forward in the field of fuel efficient transportation. In today’s society, which is increasingly aware of environmental well being, these results have a direct causal relationship with the amazing rise GWBU began last week. Now, let’s take a look at the numbers: GWBU can’t keep up with the incoming demand. When we learned that GWBU had signed long-term contracts to distribute FEED in Europe we had a feeling the stock would skyrocket; we were right! In about a week, GWBU more than doubled. Ready for more?… At the end of last week, we learned that GWBU signed a contract for 600000 Euros which will increase by 10% a year over the next 5 years. Essentially what this means is that we know for a fact that GWBU will have strong income over the next 5 years, and that is just with one contract. Think about it, how often do we see such comforting guarantees in this industry, and what do you think the wisest of investors will do once they hear about this contract. We expect nothing less than huge gains for GWBU, and if it follows the same market patterns as similar picks, it could soon reach a 10$ trading price, which sounds like an early retirement to those of you who got on board early on! Happy Trading! Your AwesomePennyStocks Editor. This message was sent to <xxx> from: Centro Azteca S.A | 10 Anson Road #16-16/6087, International Plaza | Singapore, Singapore 079903, Singapore"

I remember in the early-mid 2000s it was common to receive completely unsolicited "hot stock tips" ... pure spam.
Lots of porn spam back then too. |

Today doesn't matter when the promotion was months ago.. I know that they always end up crashing... I do see that the promo is dated Jun 04 and that the stock lost a little but stayed pretty steady in the days following Jun 04 (that's all I care about- the next few DAYS.. and not getting caught unable to sell) .... What I would like to know is if this was the first, the only, or perhaps the last promotion e-mail and what the disclaimer said about important shit like the length of the promo, what the compensation was, etc (nothing in the actual e-mail tells you anything, except for what's in the disclaimer) ..... Also I think this was probably before all of this happened http://www.thestockgarage.com/a-new-era/ (the article is dated August but does say "a few months ago"... so who knows) |

I got out of fare.. ended up getting at .2671 and selling at .3085. I booked a small loss due to the trade being small and my broker being stupid. They charge $9.99 + $.007 surcharge.
Date Execution Time Shares Price Cost Commission Net Cost Reference Number Confirmation(s) 01/07/2013 9:32:24 AM ET 324 $0.2671 $86.54 $12.22 $98.76 Date Execution Time Shares Price Proceeds Commission Net Proceeds Reference Number Confirmation(s) 01/08/2013 9:32:20 AM ET 324 $0.3085 $99.95 $12.22 $87.73 When you're only making a $100 trade and you have to beat the spread and the broker, shit ain't easy. But as you can see it would have been a profitable trade if it was larger and executed through a better broker (this one is slow and expensive). Also I am pretty confident that I could have sold several cents higer, but I jumped out of that trade fast in order to jump all over some other stock I'm buying for no apparent reason ... I paid .0002 for this http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/PCFG/chart (and NOW everyone probably has good reason for giving me hell) |
