Worldsex dot com text link ad spam?
I keep getting emails to my various sites from a John Miller "Internet Marketing Executive" proposing his company buys some text links. But when asking for more info (sold solicited adspace in the past, so why not) he wants a "full page ad" for a generic tube Worldsex dot com and then blasts out details about writing an article for it.
No way in hell am I going to do that, but just curious if anyone's heard of this dude or gotten these emails. |

We've received numerous emails from him, and I think there was some other guy from the same company. I'd gladly work with WorldSex... but this guy will keep repeating himself over and over asking the same thing, even after you telling him you will not give him what he wants for the price he is "willing" to pay (certainly nowhere near the amount I'd even consider for a month, let alone a full year).
Ultimately, I've told Devin (Rebel-Ads) who deals with WorldSex directly, that I'll gladly work something out with WorldSex, but absolutely no way through the "Internet Marketing Executives" they seem to have hired as they effectively only waste my time.

Yeah, it's the repetition thing that's strange.
After I say "no full-page ad, but maybe we can work out a different format" he responds like I accepted the full page ad on his exact terms & whatnot. And then I say "You misunderstood. Again, No Full Page Ad". And he responds with the details of how he'd like his full page ad. And so on until you ignore him. I get that some folks are ESL - not even sure if this dude is - but this is like autism on top of that. I ask cuz I interacted with him a couple months ago, forgot about it, then he wrote again this week and it took me a couple emails before I realized "Oh it's *this* guy". How people like that get hired, I have no idea. Always seems odd, even totally legit link buyers that I've dealt with all use generic Gmail accounts and come across as vague & sketchy. |
