Optin email players, step in side... please

I am using a stripped down optin page with about 3 lines explaining why people should join my mailing list. My optin rate is 65%. Of course, it is a new list and maybe that is why the rate is high. I'd like to know how I can get close to 80 or 90%. Is that even possible?

I am not using any images and this is for mainstream.

Anyone have any ideas?

I don't offer any incentives. I just describe the type of emails they will get. I noticed that I get more sales this way than offering free ebooks or digital goodies. The problem with offering freebies is that your list gets weighed down by freebie seekers who specifically made emails to sponge freebies

Yep. Believe it not, Give them some directions.

1. Put in your name or Nic

2. Put in your email address ( Note you will have to click a link so use the real one )

3. Check your email and spam folder just in case.

4. Click the link in the email.

You might be surprised how much telling them exactly what to do, will help.

I see. Step by step. Maybe with nice fonts.

This is what I have right now that is generating 65% optins



TITLE: Describes clearly what they will get from the list


Line 1: What need it will fulfill

Line 2: Raises common problem and says my solution solves it

Line 3: Raises another common problem and says my solution solves it

Line 4: Describes how they will get the message

Line 5: Call to action


Where should I put the step by step list?

I'd like to raise my conversion rate to 80 to 90%. I've seen people on other forums say they get that much (maybe they are exaggerating but hey, if it is true, I want what they have since if they can do it, I can do it too!)

Something just like what I have there.

What you should do is make several options and try them all. the tweak them and try again.

But telling them what to do is the best option.

Do you recommend using PICTURES or just text? I only use text right now...

That depends on the product. In porn its easy. you use a photo. in main stream depends on the product.

But make the pages color appealing.
