Sounds more reasonable than drone delivery. They certain have the data to be able to make better-than-chance predictions. They're only talking about shipping to your local depot, so the penalty for being wrong is relatively low. If you did this with popular items you'd not have as much worry about inventory building up and having to ship back to its origin.
