Peregrine falcon massacre in my backyard!
The wife just yelled up to me from downstairs - a peregrine falcon was ripping apart a pigeon in our backyard!
So I flew down the stairs with the Nikon (and Canon) and captured the scene from the back deck - about 70-80 stills and 3mins. of closeup video. Suh-weet demonstration of the food chain. It ate half the bird, then flew away with the carcass in its talons. I'm left with pigeon feathers all over the lawn.  |

If you hang out for a while in down town Los Angeles on a roof top of a high rise, you can see this all the time. They introduced falcons and other birds to deal with the pigeon population. Loads of fun to see one get taken out!

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants think about that |
