Anyone here paid for Strongbox support? Their customer service is horrible

Have emailed them repeatedly and their response is extremely slow or non-existent. I'm wondering if they respond quicker/better to those who have paid for extra support?

Yeah he's the one that's been fucking slow to respond.. sent an email to Ali too but still waiting to hear back from them. Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life.

Great. SB isn't installed correctly on my site and I need them to do a reinstall asap. It's like pulling teeth dealing with these guys. Might have to go with Password Sentry instead, I hear they actually respond to customers.

I used them back in 2010 I think... they were good at support back then. Since... it's sucked, and I see these threads more and more.

Sliiing is a tracking solution for sites which needs affiliates. Part of the package is exactly a strongbox type solution. If too many logins from different IP's it shuts off access to that username.

It also works with ccbill... meaning, you can have ccbill affiliates and still use the exact same affiliate code and track it in sliiing. Very, very useful and you just killed multiple birds with one stone and I believe the cost is $50/month.

Found a fake username in the members area. If they hadn't fixed the issue today I would've had my whole site ripped

Edit: I started worrying when I got traffic from a couple of password sites offering fake username and passwords to my members area. Since SB wasn't properly set up I knew it wouldn't take long for some crafty fucker to notice it wasn't protected and use brute force to gain access. When SB didn't reply to my emails I started panicking..

The only thing is the pricing is $99 for the 1st domain. I have 7 paysites and that pricing would be $99 + $69 times 6. And then $24 yearly per domain after that.

For proxy pass it's $50 monthly but it covers EVERY domain on your server. So even my non paysites that have password protected areas are covered

But they are both great products.

If you want customer service at the level that Password Sentry offers it, you will have to pay for it. But it is money very well spent.

Strongbox is a very tragic case, indeed. Certainly the best site protection package out there, but the customer service is the worst. I abandoned all the products and services I used to have with them only with great sadness and some trepidation, but there are definitely alternatives.

Password Sentry does the job very well for me and I am assured if there is an emergency, they will be there to help. Good luck!

Strongbox costs $100 one time only, which saves a lot of fucking money if you run several sites. There is everything you need to know in the Strongbox wiki, I haven't required support from them in 4 years now.
