Grow up. From a military standpoint, if Russia wanted it, it could over run Ukraine so quickly that the UN wouldn't have time to file a complaint.

Russia hasn't used the "full arsenal of methods". It tried to send some material support and perhaps a handful of troops. When Russia sends 200 tanks and ten thousand troops... Then you will understand what "full arsenal" means.

You'll see that people from these areas will ask russian's help if they start to starve because an unefficient gvt and that's the real reason why putin sent these trucks with food.

The aid was a stall tactic, trying to keep the rebels from being over run. This happened previously, when Ukraine forces were taking a city and Russia helped broker a cease fire for a few days, giving the rebels a chance to resupply & set up better defenses.

The food Convoy is the same thing. Russia trying to help the rebels which Ukraine are beating. If the supply convoy was allowed to move forward, Ukraine would have to agree to a ceasefire, which would once again allow the rebels some breathing room to resupply and set up better defenses.

That's make shift anti rocket armor on a APC. If you notice, the US's APCs in Iraq have metal grating welded all around them, it's for the same reason.

When the rocket propelled grenade hits the grating, it blows up before hitting the actual armor. Just because it looks silly, doesn't mean it doesn't work.

Hell at the start of Iraq, the US didn't have armored Humvee's and soldiers often self built their own armor systems.

They are simply trying to mimic what the US figured out in Iraq with the metal grating that stops the rocket propelled grenades.

Example of how the US military does it. It's a cheap and simple method to defeat a cheap weapon system that is capable of taking out the APC if not for the make shift grating armor.
