I'm working on a pretty extensive mainstream dating site now (not looking for more work, though) and did a little research on this several months ago. I wasn't able to locate any decent open source dating platforms, even if just using them as the base from which to build. As a result, I have been coding from scratch (which I prefer to do, anyway).
