I have developed some sort of injury from working on my laptop. Whenever i sit down at my desk in a chair within 5 minutes i have a burning sensation and bothersome pain in my upper left shoulder blade. Sometimes the area is inflamed like a stiff muscle then other times its just the piercing pain ..the pain also leads up to my left neck and behind the ball of my shoulder.
if im not at my desk used to be ok..but nowit seems to linger and not go away..the only wau around it is to lay on the couch or my back with laptop on my junk probably giving me nut cancer anyone else have these problems or symptoms or know what the fuck i did.. |

I have a wrist brace for carpal tunnel in my right wrist and when I dont wear it my right wrist gets terrible arthritis. When I do wear it the pain goes away almost immediately.
And look into switching out your chair, stand up more often, try different things and see what works |

You must be ergo or you will regret it the rest of your life.
That said I do occasionally still get significant neck and shoulder issues. Having one right now. When it is very bad I uses an electric stim machine. Helps a lot for me. The biggest change for me was getting out and walking 5 - 10 miles a day. Weather has been cold and shitty here for days and cooped up has cost me. I may go back down to FL sooner as I can not work in pain. |

See a doctor. That could be just recoverable strain or something more serious like a herniated disc. Until you can get a doctor appointment, you might try icing it. I like to put ice in a paper cup and freeze the cup and then move the ice part over the irritated area in a circular motion. Of course, I'm not a doctor, so I'm just sharing how I'd handle it. Good luck.

100% posture. I had the exact same problem until I started going for long walks and fixed all the mis-aligned muscles, tendons & ligaments.
Do some activities that require you to be vertical and stop slouching while you drive, work, eat, etc. A few years of laptop life fucked my neck & back up so bad I had to visit a Chiro a few times to un-pinch nerves. edit: Oh and regarding nut cancer, not likely imo but it can have an affect on your fertility. |
