Best option for processing

I've been with Zombaio for awhile but obviously things aren't going well to say the least. I actually have a separate site I use ccbill on- but there is a massive problem on that site with cc bill that would be completely unacceptable for my other site.

The problem with ccbill- is that while you can do individual video sales, it then counts as a subscription preventing sales for three more days, which is totally useless and I am a little shocked that Zombaio supports this while ccbill does not.

Whats the best option for a site that needs to support both memberships and individual videos.

If you don't want your own merchant account, CCBill is still your best option. You want dynamic pricing for your individual video sales. Discuss this with your CCBill account rep.

Based on the problem you posted, you need to use dynamic pricing even if your individual videos are priced the same. Share your problem with the tech team at CCBill and they will let you know how to do it.

My site has differently priced videos all set up- the one that I use already with ccbill- the problem is that when someone buys a video they cannot buy again for three days which is terrible

Has anyone got ccbill to work in a way I described? Seeing as I work with them already and couldn't be happier with their payouts etc. if possible sticking with them would be best.

any merchant account can provide that flexibility. no disrespect to CCBill but why would you want to give them a higher percentage for processing than you can get for yourself as a merchant? Hit up Payze.com before you make any firm decisions on how to proceed, that's my

the process involves you hitting up a gateway/merchant account company like Payze, Segpay, Meritcard et al., you send them info regarding the nature and volume of your business, and if they chose to take you on they guide you through the process of getting approved by a merchant bank. I can't speak to Segpay and Meritcard as I have no experience with them, but Payze.com is run by former CCBill employees and they know their ish.

I wouldn't call it 'convenient' per se but the process is the same hoops you have to jump through with any processing option, including Zombaio and CCBill.

I suspect lots of peeps stick with IPSPs like CCBill due to a variety of factors including volume of business (at the highest volumes CCBill charges much less than 15%) and the fact that CCBill is convenient for affiliates (in that all payments from CCBill sponsors can get sent in one lump sum).

The pros and cons are an issue you'll have to weigh out depending upon the nature of your business, but bear in mind that-assuming you're not earning 20k per week-with a merchant account you can easy gain 10% more with each client purchase over using an IPSP

Why not investigate all your options before making a decision, that's all I'm saying. Fellow Zombaio'er here btw. I used to adore them until, well, this happened. Wishing you good luck however you decide to proceed.

Yes, I have. But not worth the trouble and their stupid fucking scrub always creeps its way back into the billing process. Avoid massive headaches, get your own merchant account.

What do you mean exactly? I am satisfied with ccbills payouts. What scrub are you talking about?

In theory the idea of my own merchant account does sound good though, I just really need a solution fast. Zombaio has 14k of mine and I need to release some of my content and, well, get paid for it.

Verotel can do that.

They have an API (they call it FlexAPI) and you can send your customer to a payment page with an amount you set dynamically.

After the transaction is complete, Verotel will callback to an API endpoint on your side so that you can deliver the content.

The concept is:

[$30 for this video id 123]
---> send to Verotel API
[Verotel charge customer $30]
<--- verotel callback yoursite.com/api?videoid=123&purchase=sucesss
[Customer watch the video]

Disclaimer: My team and I use Verotel and love it!

Thanks all for these helpful posts- my guys are/will be in contact with many of the mentioned options.

My main concern is quickly implementing an alternative so I can inject content back into my sites and re-establish health. This zombaio situation occurred at the worst possible moment, when my company was on a phenomenal upwards trajectory. Naturally, with Zombaio being unprofessional to say the least, I'm not comfortable adding my content to the site until an alternative is worked out.

Hi,

NETbilling can offer you incredible support and flexibility. We are the largest processor in the adult space for those with their own merchant accounts and work with all of the providers listed in this thread as well. We also have an in house call center to handle all of your customer service on your behalf to your customers 24/7/365. We are the only gateway processor here that offers call center services in-house.

I employ you to take a look, at the options listed in this thread, get your best price, and then come to NETbilling for a comparison. We will help you every step of the way.

Looking forward to to hearing from you.

Thank you, Mitch Farber

This is a good comparison. Having your own merchant not account not only saves money but allows a much greater amount of control and flexibility for all of the billing aspects and customer service as well. However, it is most important to make sure you choose a reputable longstanding provider that can not only provide multiple merchant account solutions, but a robust gateway and support 24/7. Don't settle for less.

Mitch

All the processors that you've heard about, CCBill, Segpay, Epoch, Netbilling etc are all good. But the problem you are expressing about CCBill isn't really a problem at all - it is a kind of fraud protection. I believe they call it a "Velocity check" or something like that, that prevents the same customer from making too many purchases within a certain time frame.

If this is what is going on, one thing you can do is contact CCBill and ask them to remove this restriction from your account. They may do it and they may not - it depends on your history with them. If it is a technical issue, their support team may be able to fix it or suggest a work-around.

There is a sneak way around it but I don't know if this still works. You can create multiple sub accounts, then write a little bit of code that would send the customer to each new sub account when he tried to buy more within 24-72 hours. This may be "illegal" according to CCBill so please check with them first before you jeopardize your account with them.

(Don't kill me, CCBill peeps! I lovez-ya..)

With a 3rd party 10% on the lower side, 15% on the high end with a 5% hold for 6 months.

I personally like Verotel. I have been with them for 10+ years now. They have taken good care of me.

Jason Collins - Verotel
[email protected]

I also have a merchant account, and MeritCard has been lovely over the time I have been with them. They were more flexible than other merchant banks when I started with mine, and I can say these many years later, I have no real complaints. That being said, here are some points of contact for both 3rd party and merchant accounts.

Jim Harris - MeritCard

Michael Maisonet - Offshore & Domestic

Kristi Greer - Segpay
