Do sex stories convert to video site sales?

I'm thinking of starting a sex story site with unique, high-quality "illustrated" stories using affiliate pictures from niche video sites.

Have any of you had success with this type of conversion?

Traffic from quality websites with real original exclusive content converts well if sent to the right websites.

It is only logical.

why not use the content on a dating or webcam website? I think it will convert better there IMO

That's a good suggestion, FM. It could work just as well or better with niche dating sites, although I'd technically have to promote the content provider, too.

I've never promoted webcams before, and with all the talk on here about how they rip of affiliates, I'm hesitant to start.

It's a terrible suggestion actually, to be successful with webcams you need volume or very targeted webcam traffic none of which you're gonna get with a story site.

The only story sites left have gone the paywall route and even they don't make much anymore with a famous xxxxx.org (I won't link to it because of the nature of some stories) taking much of the traffic with their free user submitted stories.

The only way you're going to monetize a new story site is collecting emails and doing mailers.

Lush Stories is free access and does various video sponsors. They also make money from members who get to surf an ad free version of Lush.
