The police report said that Dotson ignored repeated instructions to return inside, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel. The difference is the guy choking the student was doing it when the student was just standing and taking it. Look at his face, he has no business being in a position of power.
The cops choking or strangling the 400 pound man were in a fight it took 6 of them i believe to subdue him. He died of a heart attack in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.

I have seen white people do much more crazier shit than calling for protest and burning down buildings, but that isn't the issue.

The issue is that sometimes race plays a part in how people interact with each other, regardless of whether it should or shouldn't. Also, police should be held to a higher standard of conduct due to the position they are in.
