Wacom size.
I'm about to try drawing using Wacom, but not sure what dimension is ok enough to start ( dont wanna spend a ton ). Wacom Intuos small, will it be enough to draw comics or any other mascots?
Any UI feedback? Thanks.

We use Wacom Intous Pro Small. It's pretty enough for post production.

Last Wacom I had was in about 2001/2002. It was A4 size - Letter size in the US.
It was big enough for me, cause I could draw on it like a normal sheet of paper. |

It really doesn't need to be as big as you'd think. Actually, a bigger tablet just means more space taken up, and more drag to get from one side of the screen to the other. I use a Monoprice tablet that's about 5 by 6, but I've had even smaller and had no problems drawing with it.

My daughter uses Wacum and has for several years - we just recently updated her to the Medium size Intuos and she loves it - to her, being left handed, it gives her more space and she can get into more detail, but she has said that she sometimes misses her smaller one - but either one is very good to get most any job done that would be needed - especially for what you are needing it for.

I do various work on it - make illustrations for companies like advertising campaigns, mascots, etc. as well as drawing storyboards for ad agencies, and much more. example, for an ad campaign: storyboard illustration for anti theft campaign: |

I use medium for retouching, although I see that I could use small for retouching without limitations. But maybe for drawing (what I don't do) bigger might be more useful if you want to draw long line in one move or have more space for details.

I love my smaller Wacom tablet, sometimes the big or even medium sized ones can be too big unless you're a painter who prefers big strokes.
Here's a random one I drew before with a small Wacom Bamboo tablet:

Use a medium grey bg, then the whites and blacks will pop out better

Upgraded to a Cintiq 27QHD Touch from the 24HD, and I have to say: I preferred the smaller one. This one is potentially for sale, if you're looking for a deal on one. It's brand new, maybe 5 hours last week on it.

I used a medium for a while but really didn't like it much. I'd opt for a small.

smaller is better. I have a med and it takes up too much space. IMO it's not like drawing on paper, so it doesn't need to be very big.

I'm extremely curious -- how long ago did you draw that?
