Academy Awards: 'Birdman' Wins Best Picture Oscar

Figured I would give it a shot since it won best picture, My advise is not to waste your time, this has got to be the worst movie I have purchased in a long long time. I could have stopped at any point and not wondered how it would turn out.

My friend that watched with me thought it was good, Didn't think it was worthy of awards but said he liked it. I asked if he could ever watch it again and he said no. You would think a movie that wins best picture would be good enough to at least watch twice.

It was ok. If you want to see something really bad try to stay awake through that latest hunger games movie. I dont know how they managed to make it worse than the first two but they did.

i dont understand why do we need movies about some idiots, about some psychopats, about some boring people, about some pseudo happy people, about poor people, about some romantic scenes, about stupid moments we have to think about, why the fuck are we wasting money on this, dont the world need just comedies to make us more happier?

Hunger games sucks so badly. It was unbelievable that it made so much money

I read the reviews and couldn't escape the irony of how Keaton's birdman character parallels his real life.

Played an iconic superhero (Batman)...then spends the rest of his career trying to make a comeback.

Or did I miss something?

edit - don't get me wrong...I liked a lot of Keaton's early movies. Pacific Heights and One Good Cop are still among my faves.

i didnt understand most of it, in the end was he dead or alive ? why his daughter looked up and smiled after he jumps from the window ?
was he capable of flying ?
so was he alive ?
then why did the cab driver followed him in the theater for money when he thought he was flying through the city ?
anyways , it was OK movie

I was thinking the same thing. planned on buying tonight but this thread makes me second guess that.

I don't get the movie critics, like Rotten tomatoes gave Hercules a 2% out of 100 and I seen magazines quoting that saying it's not worth wasting time to find out if it's any good because of that rating. Then they give the one with the Rock a decent rating, in my opinion the one that got a 2% rating was 10x's better. After this I can't take anything from Rotten Tomatoes serious...

I have only seen the first one and it was absolute childish garbage. Whole movie feels like it was made for 12 year olds.
And it wasn't interesting, exciting or anything. Just one very boring movie for kids, that seemed like some drama/action series of nickelodeon - quality of about everything in it was also horribly bad, one of the worst movies i saw over the last few years... I'm sorry for todays youth that hunger games and twilight movies are popular.

And according to you the 2nd one is even worse
