Anyone worked with Steve from x12media or PixelSofa? - GoFuckYourself.com

Made a thread in January on gfy.com looking for a roku developer to turn a tube script into a roku channel. Got a reply from x12media (the handle on gfy) and a follow up from Steve at Pixelsofa. We discussed over Skype and he told me the project would cost $X and it would take 7-10 business days to complete, and that he would begin as soon as we paid, half up front, half upon completion.

It has been well over a month since I paid the first half for the project to be started, and so far I have nothing to show for it. I was getting the excuses 'we are working on it' 'we are making it good' 'we will have a beta for you to test this week' 'we got it working on our roku stick and box' however I haven't seen fuck all. 'Steve' from pixel sofa hasn't replied to me on Skype in over a week (although he was super quick to initiate convos when still looking to get paid) and even in their client area of their site I am not getting replies anymore.

Has anyone dealt with this company or this guy? Any idea if I can get my money back that I paid through paypal or is that a write off? Also, anyone who can create a roku channel, please shoot me an email at admin at netflixporn dot com as it looks like I'll never hear from these guys at pixelsofa

That's how they always are. Sucks to hear. Hopefully someone planning on using them bumps into this thread.

x12media and steve from pixelsofa are the same guy it seems from what i can tell - on x12media's posts i see him saying 'add me to Skype pixelsofa'

yea wasn't meant to be posted that way, I am on my iphone, and was on skype with him at same time..

In short, it was my fault for not communicating with him on a timely fashion, there are events on both sides.

We did change a new CMS system and some items got crossed, and I have been doing extensive coding days.

In the end, its my responsibility to make sure my clients are kept upto date, and on this I failed..

So to his credit he has contacted me and we have resolved the issue - I also have seen a working beta so looks like we are back on track
