If it was truth, there must be some geological remains of that civilization. We've seen a lot of dinosaur bones from Mesozoic Era (200+ millions years ago), but no single element of an ancient rail gun

I agree that something would have been found, unless it is all under the OCeans, or under the ice caps. However, just want to point out that even our best skyscrapers would just be splotches of red dust in 50,000 years.

There are weird mine like caves that look like they were mined that are dated to way way beyond what they should be. Who knows, maybe 20,000 years ago, we had roman level technology, or 1800's level technology, then a plague wiped us out.
