I got it for free for 6 months on a Silverado I bought back in October. Now the fuckers call me 3-4 times a week asking me to renew. I've even asked nicely to be taken off their list. No dice!

their c/s is bullshit. They 'activated' my signal but got nothing but a Visa charge. You call support from Canada an Egyptian dude answers you saying that the signal is showing active...
Very bad experience here also |

They use boiler room tactics, with people who are either fluent in Ebonics or some other foreign language. We're still getting hammered on a 5 year-old car. They finally stopped calling but still send bi-weekly renewal offers. It seems like they are constantly turning on service for free in a desperate bid to attract subscribers.
Gonna decline the 6 month freebee on our next new car.

I had no problems with subscribing, billing and cancelling my Sirus XM service, but I'll agree that its shit. There are about 200 radio channels but 50% of them are talk or sports, 25% are other speciality channels, leaving only about 25% for music.
Out of that, there are stations like the Grateful Dead channel that plays ONLY Grateful dead, The Pearl Jam channel that plays ONLY Pearl Jam, etc. Who the hell can listen to a single band 24/7? Next there are the decade channels starting at the 70's, 80's etc. Ok no problem except that they are limited to the "hits" of those decades. There was lots of fun Alternative Music in the 80's that is no where to be found. The worst thing about Sirus XM is the sound quality. Many stations sound like total shit because they are compressed to hell, not only with shitty digital compression, but also with what I will call audio compressors that make the quiet moments of any song just as loud as the loudest part of the song, so bands like Pink Floyd sound like shit too.
