About SSL
Hello guys,
Does anyone are familiar with this google update? Official: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogsp...ng-signal.html More about it: Error 404: Page Not Found! Why Google Made HTTPS/SSL An SEO Ranking Factor? What this means? That all websites must use HTTPS to rank better? Adult sites included? Can someone please help me choosing a good SSL for me? I have in my server about 30 websites, should I buy an SSL for each domain!? Or one single SSL is enough? For example to use in my server hostname/IP? I'm thinking in buy SSL from one of this two services: https://www.namecheap.com/security/s...le-domain.aspx https://www.digicert.com/ But I don't know what SSL to buy... P.S. My sites are mostly tube sites, forums, etc... I dont own any online shop. P.S.2. Or should I buy only an SSL certificate for my server hostname/IP? And add all my sites in CloudFlare that offers SSL certificates for free? Thank you for your time |

You have to purchase an SSL for each domain unless they are 3rd level.
example tits.whatever.com ass.whatever.com If they are 3rd level, you can purchase a wildcard ssl certificate. I have never purchased from this company but they are advertising 4.99 ssl certs. I normally get mine at namecheap. https://www.ssls.com/lp/4.99-ssl-off...FZeJaQodUIsAjA

dont start buying ssl yet, see what other people are doin.
register at cloudflare, they offer free ssl. you need to create self signed cert on your server and use cloudflare and force all users to ssl. and you can now click the thanks button. p.s. edit whats the correct link ?? http://googlewebmastercentral.blogsp...ng-signal.html/

you will need unique IP's per domain for each ssl or a multi-domain SSL certificate or a wildcard SSL certificate ( then all domains can be on the same ip ).

You don't need a dedicated IP for SSL. Look into SNI.

So, what do you guys suggest me for my case?
I have server + 30 domains Is better to buy an SSL to my server too? (server IP/WHM/...) Should I buy an SSL to each domain or is possible to buy one for all? And what type of SSL should I buy? I only have blogs, forums, tube sites, etc... I don't own any shop... the cheapest SSL is enough? Waiting for your help, thank you once again buddies! |

SSL is one of many ranking factors. There is no proof it will rank you nay better. However, I think paysites should encrypt their membership sections to disallow telecoms and censors to see their content.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maximum_transmission_unit Logins and payment pages need to be https (TLS). Google has a commercial burden in protecting their clients' privacy (their search data). Google is being googlecentric (as usual) and wants to share their parasitic burden with their host victims. In other words this is google-shit. |
