Which rude goth, punk, or science fiction T-shirt design do you like best? Would you hit it?

My BLT project is a Kickstarter Staff Pick. The Kickstarter has been written up by BoingBoing, Broken Pencil, AltPorn.Net, and more.

So we've got a bunch of cool T-shirt designs we are considering producing for the project. Kickstarter backers will make the final decision on which ones we manufacture, but which ones do you guys like best? Imagine some of these might be swag for SpookyCash affiliates and GFYers, so your feedback could make a difference on what ends up being on offer

If these T-shirts were hot gothic girls, which ones would you hit?

Do you wear lots of punk T-shirts you like better or just trolling from a phone with specs too low to be good for your trolling purpose?

How do you manage to have your primary adult site be so low traffic that you literally are unranked in Alexa? I didn't know that was possible.

You posted your primary adult site and it is PA 1, DA 14, PR 0, Alexa Unranked.

So you were being constructive, not trolling? What should my takeaway be on how I could improve the products?

Thanks. The comic book style lettering part or the BLT graphic part? Looking at the lettering, I think you are right. It will be easier to read at T-shirt size, but some computer text in place of the hand lettering from the original zine might be easier to read.

Off topic, but I like your site

Nice shirts! My favorite is the third one, but that might be because I love the punk sexy librarian look.

My general feedback is to simplify the designs. When I design things, I try to remember the quote, "Things should be as simple as possible, but not simpler."

Then again, one of my favorite modern artists is Mcbess, and his work tends to be quite noisy.

Good luck!

That one's my favorite. It is a reworking of the cover of BLT's Punk Rock Success issue. I'll share your thoughts with the designer and illustrator. Thanks

I know the designer read a lot of Viz at a young impressionable age. Wouldn't be surprised if the illustrator did too. Viz is iconic.

#3 is my fave too.

Lettering hard to read is an opinion with constructive criticism.

Simplify is an opinion with constructive criticism.

Didn't look at them but they're shit is not even an opinion, much less constructive.

See the difference?

#7 is a slight reworking of the design of BLT's T-shirts in the 90's, which were all over the East Coast science fiction conventions. The old ones were printed with traditional plastic-y screenprinting though, so I'm kinda itching to do a version with modern bleach processes that will be soft and keep its design through many washings.

The Kickstarter ends in 2 days and the Kickstarter backers will be deciding which ones actually get manufactured, although I plan to print extras of favorite designs if those are chosen, so we'll see which ones it ends up being.

I thought someone who never posts anything about their business would say some random nonconstructive thing, but I wouldn't see it because I already have them on ignore.

I thought someone who is a known person might say something negative but funny and/or useful.

This is GFY. Are you seriously getting your panties in a bunch because I pointed out the loserdom of someone who posted random hostile swearing in my thread?

Ok, I am on my laptop now. It still works.

The text on some are hard to read and on others there is just too much going on.
Some I just don't 'get'.
What is lunch with an edge?
What is BLT? To me that means bacon lettuce and tomato.

Bottom line is I wouldn't buy them for myself or anyone I know.

BLT makes me think of sandwiches, and there are no sandwiches, so therefore I don't care for any of the designs.

I'm not sure anyone's gonna want to wear the letters BLT on their shirt, because honestly it just sounds stupid.

They are shirts which go with a zine. If you click on the Kickstarter link, there is a lot of information on what BLT is. BLT stands for Black Leather Times officially, but every issue has a different funny theme and we come up with something different every time that BLT also stands for. The Lunch With An Edge slogan is a play on BLT being a sandwich because some of these shirt designs are riffs on covers of back issues.

Why is it, the second someone says anything you disagree with, you instantly go into attack mode about if they have an adult site or not, which meets your standards?

You aren't even making an adult porn related post yourself, so who gives a shit what his adult site is or isn't.

As for the t-shirts.. They are all too "busy" IMO.. Random artwork turned into shirts usually doesn't translate well as a t shirt design.. The knight or the one below it are the closest to a workable design, but unless you have a cult following of some sort, I don't see average people buying them.

im with the guys who don't know what it is... it just looks like something a very very small old fashioned niche crowd is (or was) into... it really doesn't interest me, but i am not the target crowd.

You got backers so i see there is interest, so maybe ask them who are 'in the know' about this project.

I think they would be fun to read while fucking an alt girl, but none really stood out as "Man, I'd definitely fuck a girl in that shirt since it would look so hot!" Might just be the shape of the templates and no girls in the pic, though.. :p

Could I maybe design one?

Edit: #2 would be cute
