From what I saw of the footage on youtube/twitter, that was not a normally stall but a loss of power on completion of the loop, The pilot looks to have to tried to steer the hunter away from people/cars ect but as he banked it lost all speed and hit the ground like a brick.

This brings me back--my first computer job in the late 70's was in Lancing and the train from Brighton, where I lived, went right past Shoreham airport. This is awful.

way to low to try that loop in that type of aircraft. Not enough time or airspace to recover if something went wrong

Unbelievable how many accidents happen at air shows...

You should think that these highly trained and highly paid professionals know which airplane is capable of doing what and what not...

very sad.. We just had a air show last Saturday in my hometown. The airport is right next to a walmart and I was amazed that the 4 old planes were doing loops and stuff right over the parking lot with tons of people.

Damn, so most of the dead are people where just out for a drive - Nothing to do with the show - It really makes you think about life and how quickly it can end...

How many flight hours do you have in a Hawker Hunter?

Or any aircraft at all?

Mostly old people go to air shows. They bring their lawn chairs and over sized cataract glasses. So most likely very few if any children our young people were killed or injured.

Way too low to loop in any aircraft, much less an old one. I've got enough flight time to know.
