Blog question, comments on - or off? Which is better.
As time goes and my blog grows, I'm thinking the comments really don't mean shit. On or off? It's not really an interactive blog, just a bunch of dirty sex stories. What do the great minds of GFY think? Thanks in advance kids. |

				 | I would enable the comment section on blog, but it is not a big deal so you can turn it off. Some mainstream sites do not have a comment section so they encourage people to comment on social media sites. |

				 | I like to leave comments on, can't say if its better for SEO but I'm thinking it could be if the comments are relevant. However, when using WordPress on general porn blogs, I setup filters to auto-deny anything with URL's in it, and also remove the URL field from the comment form. If the form is submitted with the URL field filled out, I know its a bot, and if there is a URL in the comment text well, fuck it probably a bot as well.

				 | It depends how much time you have to moderate them - I would 'on' if you can handle it... |

				 | I keep comments turned off on 99% of my Wordpress installs. If you do decide to leave them on then keep Askimet installed and make sure to manually approve each and every comment so you can go through them and make sure someone is not trying to sneak spam or any kind of exploit through. |

				 | It's a welcome mat for spam. If you install a rigorous registration process, and only allow logged in members to comment, then it would work. But if you leave it open, bad shit will happen. |

				 | Having people post on your blog will also raise pageviews and other activity which in turn makes the blog more attractive. There's so many good plugins to deal with spam, I didn't know people would even consider turning it off.

				 | Spam on my wordpress blogs are out of control. I can't enable shit. Use disquss plugin if you need to. But other than that you're doomed. It got so bad once they OVH disabled my outgoing mail port until I fixed it. Since then everyone can fuck themselves. |

				 | I considered turning off cause I think it's ugly and the interaction just isn't usually there. 32k spam, and 500 legit comments, but my programmer (one of the best dudes in the whole fucking world) explained why they are best to keep on and then fixed up the site to make sure all spam can stay out better than it was before. I appreciate your input nonetheless |
