Mila_ is highly entertaining and has a big and dedicated following. I'm actually willing to give her the benefit of the doubt that if she uses bots, it would be more or less self defense. Unlike other very clearly botted rooms she makes users tip her and not small. Her affiliate things might go far and sometimes over the limits but she knows how to convert traffic into revenue.

How about you give these things some time? Let's take this signal that chaturbate is actually aware and changed something (whatever they changed) as a positive one. It's good that y'all are discussing and reporting these issues but sentiments like "chaturbate has lost control of the site" and "Fuck it! I'm out" are a little overly dramatic

Chaturbate's not going anywhere, they're gonna fix the problem. It might take a minute because they can't just make large algorithm changes in a single day. They can't take drastic action against botting in a single day. If they did those things without taking proper care and precaution that they DO IT RIGHT, they could hurt their (and your) business.

But the sky's not falling. Personally my revenues were down a little in feb/march but they're back on track this month. And my signups are actually up in general this year.

Just focus on building your traffic and signups and you'll be fine.

If anyone from chaturbate is reading this, I would suggest that the sorting algo focus on REVENUE GENERATED over different time-frames. Revenue generated in the current show, revenue generated in the last hour, revenue generated per broadcasted hour over the model's last month on chaturbate, revenue generated per broadcasted hour over the model's last year on chaturbate.

Of course you would still need to use other signals to give new models a chance to prove themselves, but the most sophisticated botting operation in the world can't game a revenue-based sorting algorithm.

This would be the sorting that myfreecams has. Obvious negative side effect is that girls that have ONE whale tipper and girls who mostly sell videos and pictures and who basically only cam as a showcase for the content they sell, rank high. CB was always "show based", a girl does a great show, she can gain a top spot that day. If a highly popular girl has a bad day or just wants to sit around, she would not gain a good spot that day. Great princinple but abused by some girls and studios who get the top spots always regardless if they do a great or a not so great show.

How about adding a manual/human input. Automation is necessary to handle easy patterns and mass numbers but to fine tune the top rooms nothing will beat a human.
This would require monitoring but this will bring quality (boosting overall conversions) and discourage bots use to a small extend.

Also I am sure a gentle warning to bots users would go a long way.

In my opinion PPL should be put on hold until this prb is under control. I assume that not only they boost rooms positions but they also score $1 when signing up? ...

Who will decide what room must be on the first place and when it must be?
Only crowd can decide the best position, not just single human.

Right now cb support already does it. And as result top botted room on the first places.
Yes, you can say that is just only my conspiracy theories.
But cb support can limit any model manually.
Many many models who broadcast more than 2 years with lot of followers received these manual limits last few months. At the same time the top botted rooms are on the top spots, so white list exists too.

For example, ignore revenue generated from private shows and other revenue sources. Only count revenue generated from tips in public shows

Focus on number of tippers in addition to total tip volume (that way one whale can't affect the ratings)

As far as a popular girl sitting around doing nothing, focus on revenue in the current show.

I don't know its a new internal unofficial direction inside cb or just someone in cb use own position for stealing money from the other models and webmaster by several cheating technics. and he or they work with several cheating models:
- all cheating models are average common models - usually full dressed and unpretty.
- all these models are sticked to the first positions
- most of these models use overflow banners or text requests to recreate a new account (referral stealing)
- all these models are covered someone in the cb support - all reports about breaking TOS are completely ignored
- any model who looks better and can be competitor for these average models just pushed out from the main page applying some type of the limits. and these limits applied by cb support manually.
- the latest changes of the placement algorithm help only cheating rooms - they get the first places faster than before changes. but other models are received harder limits.
- right now the first page of cb looks like mix of freak show and understandable reality show with lot of low quality rooms and lot of fully dressed models.

That's why conversion drops.
