I heard he news today that Putin killed journalists. does anyone know who it was so I can investigate?
I know America killed journalist Michael Hastings.

and they locked up Dinesh D'Souza as a political prisoner

but I know Obama and America doesn't do this. Right?

There was a trial in 2014 for the men who murdered one of the journalist that Putin is said to have killed.

She was killed in 2006.

All of these pictures were taken long after Putin was accused by Western powers of having journalists critical of him killed.
Yet for some strange reason the media here in the United States praised Obama for his statesmanship when these pics were taken and Obama was talking glowingly of Putin.

Only when Trump said he respected Putin does the media go berserk. I wonder why?

Putin does not kill those who make a him troubles. That's not his style. His style is fabrication of criminal cases to send his opponents to jail. E.g. Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Vladimir Kvachkov, Oleg Navalny (brother of Alexei Navalny) etc. He acts in the same way as Erdogan in Turkey.

Also he uses media which he controls to defame whose who he is afraid of. For example, that's how his media shows Navalny (that man is a worst Putin's nightmare):
