It's immaturity and selfishness and when you bring children into the picture, all shenanigans stop immediately. If there are no kids, I could care less what gets put into what. When kids are involved, any reasonable person follows their genetic mandate to put family and children first and protect it... not threaten it with destructive and corrosive behavior... particularly one which statistically only has one outcome.
