Wow that's surprising. Good movie though. And I can see Fury Road getting awards for Best editing etc I'd be really surprised if it won Best Picture.

Mad Max was a fun ride. It had no plot, though.
Nostalgia Critic was right. It's like a coyote and road runner movie.

I hope Big Short wins.

revenant has the same plot, chase the bad guys around and kill them. they use cars in MM:FR and horses in the Revenant. and same with minimal dialogue in both films. moreover, the dialogue in the revenant is very much unintelligible in a lot of parts.

Dynamo: Mad Max was so stupid. Their vehicles should have been electric not gas. They live in the sun-drenched desert, and in the future for fuck sakes. Had their cars been electric, they wouldn't have had to fight for gas. It would have been so much cooler if their cars would have been Tesla's and Volts and Faradays. Their electricity could have come from solar panels and wind turbines. Plus all that noise would be replaced with whisper-whirrs, and none of those people would have been hurt in those awful gasoline-fueled explosions. They could have called it Nice-Max instead. See why the movie is so dumb?

I vote Mad Max for the worst movie of the year.

LOL!!!

Dyna you are so easy to piss off. You clearly didn't realize I was trolling you right away, which explains your anger. And unlike you, I don't spend all day combing GFY for new shit to hate. (Though I am on it often, I think your presence is woven into the fabric of the code here). I feel bad for you dude - you'll be dead of a heart attack in 2 years or less if you're not careful. Try going for a walk once in a while - see the real world. Stop and smell the roses as the saying goes.

Oh and watch Interstellar - it was a much better movie than Nice Max.

PS: Would you like to join me, Crocket and Robbie for a few beers and political drinking games in the near future? I promise it'll be fu-uunnn !!

too fucking funny, yesterday i was asshole according to you on account of my calling libtards dumbfuckwads and easily handling ~5 of y'all while posting on my phone from the beach.

today it's because i came up with a badass name libanadian and told you how silly it is for you to try and troll this thread 4 hours after you posted a positive comment.

I have it on the PVR right now. Haven't seen it yet.

But even so I had not considered that notion it might be a "best picture" contender. Not even a little. Might have been a lean year last year for movies, mayhaps?

The other nominations I can see. Nothing odd there. But best picture? I'll go on record having NOT seen it yet and say it's a long shot for that one.

i won't try and defend the movie or sell you on it. peeps either enjoy a movie or they do not.

i will say this, watching this movie is like reading a comic book. if you like visual story-telling with very little dialogue, then you may like this movie. for instance, according to George Miller, all of the cars in the movie are actors, but they don't have any lines. ;

i'm still lolling at the canaduhian that trolls a movie thread just so he can then tell me i'll be dead of a heart attack in 2 years because i reply to him and call him a libanadian that watches transformer movies.

but i'm the hateful one that "spend all day combing GFY for new shit to hate".

as i stated to CD Smith, i'm not here to sell a movie or defend it. peeps enjoy a movie or they do not.

but that's just me and my live and let live outlook on life.

people that made shitty and/or snide posts about me for liking this movie a while back aren't as confident as i am, so they get offended by this film being nominated for 10 Oscars.

Wow Dyna you need help my friend. Sorry I'm not gushing over your most-favourite movie of all time, and so sorry you are so easily trolled, but... oh and also sorry you can't ever once admit to everyone else on GFY when you are wrong, or caught, or lie, or flip-flop, and all the other kooky things you do around here.

Regardless: Promise to come drinking with me and Crocket? If you want, you can sit at your own table with Robbie. We can all 4 of us get rip-roarin' drunk, and then start insulting or trolling the other table, and have it escalate into a peanut-throwing war or something. Fun, no?

Sicario was the best movie of 2015:
https://gfy.com/fucking-around-and-pr...2015-goes.html

Black mass was better than half the nominations as well...

Hollywood went downhill for quite some time.

sicario was very good. i couldn't have been bothered to see black mass, very tired of that style of glamorized gangster movie. not going to outdo Godfather, Godfather 11, Casino, the other ones.

i thought there were plenty of entertaining movies in 2015.

For me 2015 was one of the worst year, so very few decent movies.
I think I could barely name my top 5
Half of it would be filled with "ok" movies

Yeah well, this movie just sucks. And to even consider it for best movie of the year, well, I don't even know what to say about that other than 90% of movies these days are garbage.

Haha ok that is the stupidest shit I ever read. Go read a comic book; adults like to read novels. Cars are actors? I guess special effects are the plot then? WTF?

keep telling yourself that in the mirror, meanwhile in reality, the movie garnered 10 nominations while you were busy exclaiming i'm what's wrong with movies today.

and learn to read, i've already stated 2x i'm not here to sell the movie, peeps like or do not like a movie.

you're too insecure to even get that i wrote that, let alone comprehend it.

I am glad it makes you enthusiastic. For me personally it was the worst movie of 2015, with the martian as a close 2nd. These were the 2 movies i have seen that just really did not entertain me at all.

George Miller is one of a few living master filmmakers. It's about time he got some credit for something.

Innaritu will have that status, if he doesn't already.

Do you understand movies were invented as a visual medium, with no dialogue. Just because a bunch of people are flapping their gums for two hours doesn't mean make something a bad movie. Anyway, these are concepts you wouldn't be able to grasp, as simple as they are.

Most movies that are totally reliant on special effects suck. The exceptions are LOTR, Harry Potter and those like Gravity. Even Stars Wars has lost something.

Compare any of the nominees with Lawrence of Arabia, Gandhi,
The Godfather, Gone with the Wind, Schindler's List, etc. They don't come close. IMDb: Top 100 Greatest Movies of All Time (The Ultimate List) - a list by ChrisWalczyk55
