Clip stores vs membership sites
What do you guys think about the success of clip stores vs membership sites?
It seems like some clip stores are doing pretty well nowadays. This has always been perplexing to me, since you can get a much better value as a customer of a membership site, but clip stores always seem to be making sales. Along the same lines, we all know that you get your users who hit up a membership site and download everything, but do those of you with clip stores ever have anyone come through and spend the hundreds to thousands of dollars it would take to download everything? |

Why not do both? Remember C4S takes a lot of percentage from each clip.
vs. ccbill changes 10 - 15 % or your our merchant (netbilling) 3-4 % Don't forget there are lot of content sharing networks knowadays so you'll have to hire a DMCA service also..

Just the other week I had 8 sales in one go from clips4sale...
Customer spent $119.92 and I got $71.95 at no real cost to me as its old content (Not even HD) and I do zero advertising or promotion. I haven't even updated the clip store for about 3 years... So yeah, for 8 videos I got more than if I still ran a members site and they bought a months membership for $29.99 and got ALL 60+ vids in one go... Plus If it had been an affiliate sale I would have had to give half to the affiliate... So I would have got about $14 after billing etc... And out of that I would have had to pay for server and promo and put some back for new content to make updates etc... So It goes down even more... But with c4s I have zero additional costs or headaches. And more $$$ lol |

As with any business, the quality of the product most likely matters more than the delivery system.
