.tube registrations to begin

The sunrise period is for Trademark Holders to reserve their trademarked name from public registration -- use a TMCH agent.

I wonder what sex.tube may go for at auction?

What if someone has the rights to "Porn tube" but then someone registers porn.tube. Would that infringe or not since the TLD is tube?..

I really don't know. In a UDRP action you would need a registered (maybe common law) trademark. Generally so far, the TLD string has not been an issue common words are, e.g.; 'porn' is a common word 'porntube' could have been trademarked -- it has been;

it's up to the precedential decisions I guess.

If your current name is not trademarked, and worth a lot to you in branding, do it now.

Interesting question ...

I'm interested in knowing for sure, because let's say someone had newporn.com and bought newporn.tube. Without saying too much or naming names, I know that newporntube.com can be taken because of that..

So, that means that it's possible for anyone with KWporn.com that takes KWporn.tube could be infringing on "porntube"...

Same with sex tube if someone owns that term and anything else similar..

It's more about whether you can afford to defend the domain name you are buying against a company with deep pockets. You may win but you will be broke.
