WOAH! Elizabeth Warren takes on Tax Dodging Donald Trump

This is great.

I love Liz Warran. I really hope she's tapped for VP.

Giving her the VP spot would be a BIG mistake. Two women on the ticket -- and one of them is hard left wing? Too much too soon.

She should pick a male VP who is more toward the center. The VP candidate should help scoop up some of those undecided Republicans.

is there any shadow of a doubt, that the candidate who obsesses about her gender, will make her pick based on gender?

duh.

I was excited to hear that Clinton & Warren are stumping together in Cincinnati, Ohio on Monday. Warren is still a bit sloppy and a tad off kilter when speaking but when she gets real fired up she's strong & stabilized.

I like part of the message in this video but it makes a glaring error in glorifying Trump as a rich guy who thinks he's better than us. Huge mistake, that and the quick transition to manbun dude

Clinton/Warren 2016 !

I might agree with you. Having two women on the ticket might be a bit much, at least for the first time around. I know having women for leaders is common in other countries, but this will be a first for the US and it will take some getting used to.

One would THINK the United States would be a leader in this area. Seems not.

Lets be honest, Hillary is really the man, Liz wears dresses. Unfortunately no people other than Warren & Sanders can bring the far left Burkina in to vote Democrat this cycle. Sanders severely fucked himself all around so he's out. It's Warren or she turns her back on the far left and goes with a minority conservative Democrat man.

Picking a leader on what's between their legs and not between their ears and in their hearts. Is the most stupidest thing I ever heard.

How Left of Centre is Warren? How untainted is she by big money?

Nothing will upset the buyers of American politicians than picking someone they can't buy.

Trump got votes from people who are sick of being fucked by the American System. Are they too dumb to see that voting for a Candidate who will break the grip of big business on US politics?

If she's not Left enough to scare them, she's part of the problem.

In the US it's a game played with money, so no chance you will get to play. And no chance of your feeling getting listened to.

So let's ask the questions that Warren asked:

1. Why hasn't Trump released his tax returns? All other presidential candidates since the 70's have.

2. Why shouldn't trump pay any taxes when you have to?

Trump cannot release his taxes for the most obvious reasons. He hasn't done anything wrong, but he plays hardball with the IRS. He does everything he has to do to avoid paying taxes, and when he does owe taxes he does everything he can to not pay them - to the point where the federal government has taken Trump to court over one hundred times in order to force them to pay money due. For the most part there is nothing wrong with this; Smart people write stuff off of their taxes. The problem is if Trump's tax write offs become public knowledge it will be fodder for the press until well after election day.

At the same time, it will also show exactly how much Trump has made. I am guessing it will be a lot less than what he claims.

Neither Trump nor the Clintons have ever been convicted of tax law crimes. So what?

I may have paid a higher percentage of my income in taxes * than Donald Trump did in 2015

I won't prove it, like the Trump says; my tax returns? "That's none of your business!"

Assuming the Bernie Sanders candidacy is over, Sanders has said so himself, why isn't Bernie attacking Trump instead of Warren who has a political future ahead of her?

Bernie is finished really, other than being an activist. Warren is engaging in politically self-destructive political behavior on behalf of Hillary. This really does not make good sense.

For sure there are many companies taking crazy advantage of weak tax laws, but none of them are running for President.

The question she is asking is Why should YOU have to pay your taxes, when Trump does not?

forget Trump. he's a clown. you said yourself recently the tide has shifted, he's done. i agree.

how much billions in taxes has Apple dodged? big corps? the point is it's not Trump, it's the laws that allow it. Senator Warren needs to take on herself and the congress for not providing AMerica with a Tax program that closes the loop holes.

every one of US is entitled to take every single tax break we can. we're told to let experts handle our taxes so they can find every single one of those. Trump did the same. Certainly Elizabeth Warren isn't a fool, she takes every single deduction she can as well.

although she is foolish enough to tarnish her respectable image by stooping to Trump's level.

Dude why are you avoiding the question?

I know you hate Trump and won't vote for him. That's cool. I wouldn't either. But why should you have to pay when he does not?

As for Apple, yes you're right. Lots of other companies do this too.

20% of big companies pay zero corporate taxes - Apr. 13, 2016
20 big profitable US companies paid no taxes
27 giant profitable companies paid no taxes

I am agreeing with you 1 million percent.

i wasn't avoiding the question, i guess i just waxed it off for a couple reasons, first being i don't see it as being a valid question, Trump plays by the same IRS rules we all do. so he's paying less than me by the rules. the rules that Elizabeth Warren seems to think are OK.

the 2nd reason i guess i didn't answer the question is because i don't really think that way. i don't look at others and think they have it better than me because they have a fancy car or a team of tax lawyers filing their returns. it's all relative, i'm sure i'm paying a lot less than others who are in worse financial space than me.

They can't get a law to deter suspected terrorists from buying guns legally. Do you really think they will try to change the tax laws?

This is where Trump has miscalculated.

In a speech yesterday, Trump said Clinton accepted a gift worth $60k from the government of Brunei. Because Trump has no clue of how our government works, he doesn't know the full story. Every time a high ranking US government official travels to another country someone from the General Services Administration goes with them, accepts such gifts on their behalf, and then brings them back to the United States - where they are cataloged and stored. (In the event someone from Brunei comes to the White House, these items will be put on display.)

This is something that is both very obvious and easy for Clinton to explain. Things like this make Trump look dumb.

In the mean time, he won't release his taxes. You just know this will be a huge issue during the election. As Trump says "It will be huge".

i see you conveniently left out that he also mentioned that Hillary accepted ~$5 million to the Clinton foundation from brunei, home of sharia law.

and btw, A LOT of what he stated in the speech was and is very true about hillary.

The U.S. has enough people going after terrorists. Warren goes after the group that has done more to destroy U.S. economy than any terrorist group. Goldman Sachs and big banks. Which brought the great real estate crash of 2007, among other financial disasters they have brought.

I was glad to see her getting back to work and doing something about mass shootings. Or what could be doing something about that. I'm not going to complain about it if it goes toward curbing mass shootings, ie assault style weapons ban and closing gun show law loopholes. Anything less than that won't be effective.

As for wall Street, she hasn't done anything to reign in wall Street since the dod- act 6 or 7 years ago, as far as I know. Her part in that was what initially caught my attention about her way back then. But there's been no more significant wall Street legislation since.
