US: President Barack Obama vetoes 9/11 bill

Obama vetoes bill that would have allowed families of victims of September 11, 2001, to sue government of Saudi Arabia.

The president said, however, that the bill would be "detrimental to US national interests" and could lead to lawsuits against the US or American officials for actions taken by groups armed, trained or supported by the US.

US: President Barack Obama vetoes 9/11 bill - News from Al Jazeera

The Saudis and the US military - want more power over US citizens.
total shadowing US corporations + access to all bank accounts in the world after 9/11 included

Land of Freedom you say? President directly forbade Americans to know the truth about who killed 3000+ people.

Because Saudi's are best friends of America. They are allowed to bomb it whatever they want. Didn't you know that?

Also they have a fetish to Taliban

and Osama bin Laden - yet another brave son of Saudi Arabia and the most famous CIA agent ever (yes, he was funded by the US taxpayers)

The Americans are like small kids. They have weird friends and hurt themselves again and again... May the God be with them

This is a horrible bill. If this bill is allowed to pass, it will open up the door to allow people from other countries to sue the United States. On the face of it this doesn't sound bad, but then give some thought to the millions of people the United States military has killed in the past fifteen years - or people we've wounded or destroyed their houses or business.

The government of Saudi Arabia will have be able to quickly smack this down in International court, but the flood gates will be open to millions of other lawsuits against the US.

How old are you? Did you learn the basics of jurisprudence in the school/college/whatever? The internal US bills do not affect the foreign laws. If some country will want to sue the USA, it will use its own laws, not yours. Your stupidity surprises me... a lot.

There is no evidence the Saudi Government carried out the attack. If there was it was under Bush. So sue him.

However when it comes to suing foreign Governments. TTIP was all about that. Which is why it's getting kicked out.

So if the Saudi's have no involvement, how many trillion will they be able to sue back for?

And surly places like the Marshall islands must want a little of those trillions pie.

It's all about the money -- the Saudis threatened to empty all of their bank accounts and liquidate their US assets if this bill passed. 15 years of accusations of Saudi government involvement have proven zilch.

The conspirators (all dead) were AL-Queda operatives and the majority Saudi nationals -- that is as far as the proof goes.

So, let's crash the economy before the election ... We just got over the worst recession since 1981 -- and you want to shoot yourself in the foot?

Ever hear the term "setting a precedent?" I'll translate it for your dumb Russian-ass.

создание прецедента

sozdaniye pretsedenta

Has nothing to do with laws that exist in either country.

Listen to me, clown. A precedent in the States does not affect another countries. Just an example for you: a porn site operator was executed in Iran (hanged up like a puppet). Does it make a precedent for you, ah? The same is about all the American precedents - what happens there, stays there. Nobody cares.

Are you really that dumb to think that the whole world revolves around the USA? Stop watching Hollywood movies then and you will discover that the real life has nothing in common with that shit - there is no Santa, the people outside the States don't give a fuck about your "precedents", "Kim Kardashian" is a burble in other languages and "Justin Bieber" is a sort of shawarma here. Thank me later

Its not about if they can sue them in their country, its if they can go to the USA and sue there for things that happened in other countries.

Don't post those Hollywood-staged pics. They are not Russians. Everybody knows that real weekend parties in Russia look like this:
