This part of Mexico is not in a border town as border towns on both sides have issues see Chula Vista, CA / Loredo, Texas / Tijuana, Mexico as examples. It's 100% safe to come here. Guadalajara is a peaceful area. I am American and I am posting this to explain the fear, on the news they always portray the bad, Also TJ(Tijuana) does not represent true mexico as it is a border town and very dangerous.
