Paul Ryan and GOP throw Trump to the curb

(CNN)House Speaker Paul Ryan told fellow Republicans Monday he will no longer defend GOP nominee Donald Drumpf and will instead use the next 29 days to focus on preserving his party's hold on Congress.

the establishment GOP is still enslaved to the PC press...trump has immunity. thats why paul is afraid.

no balls. thats why trump beat 16 other GOP primary candidates, all with more so-called experience.

keep deluding yourself that he is going to lose...CNN will relax the liberal base with lies of hilary winning, right into not showing up for the vote.

not like hilary has any stamina to do any rallies. she needs CNN to do all the campaigning for her.

So what little support Trump was getting from the GOP is now gone.

Has this ever happened in modern times - where one of the parties has outright refused to support their nominee?

the GOP establishment did not support trump. but he won the primary. He created record turnout for a GOP nominee. how did that happen?

It seemed to me like the GOP has been crying like little children for the past seven years. I think they lost to a black man and they are pissed about it.

I completely fail to understand the logic behind the GOP. Their entire strategy has been "Hillary Clinton is crooked and lies" and "The economy is horrible". The reality is just the opposite - Hillary Clinton, after over a dozen investigations, has never been charged with a crime and nearly all indications are the economy is doing good. They are saying "everything is bad" when it clearly isn't.

What the Republican party should have done is said "The economy is doing great, and it's because of the Republicans in Congress, not the President".
