Fuck You Disneyland!!!!

Greedy ass mother fucking cocksucking corporate thieves!!!

Don't these fucker have enough money now with the Star Wars empire in their back pockets?

Disneyland used to be the only place poor and working blue collar people could go and bring their kids, because they can't afford a small vacation for themselves.

But FUCKING SHIT!!! Summer tickets are at $ 124!!!!!!

How can a poor family of 4 even think about going to Disneyland????

$ 124 X 4 = $ 496

plus parking $ 20 (what balls to charge for parking, why not $ 50 you greedy fucks??)

plus 1 fucking meal only = $ 60 (and that's just burger combos)

plus some candy $ 10, no toys.

$ 586 minimum for a family of 4 to go to Disneyland???

Poor families don't have that!!!!

Think of all the poor kids out there that will never enjoy a day at Disney, because it's just too dam expensive.

I hope the Disney stock holders get cancer and choke on their profits.

IF Walt was alive today, he would condemn Disneyland.

How sad must poor kids be when they see Disneyland commercials on tv and know they can never go there.

"Sorry kids, it's for rich families only."

Disney Prices

and if people come from Holland they have to pay flighttickets also! That is too expensive! Everybody must be able enjoy the real disneyland. With 4 persons to the USA + hotel + entrance + car rental is way over 5000 euro! That is ridicilous.

I went on new years eve to Disneyland, 3 days in a hotel, eating in Cinderella castle. But when the party started, there was NO BEER! First new years eve without any alcohol.

Boycot Disneyland!

Meh, no big deal. Their increase is less than 5%.

Single Day passes at Disney California went up from

$95 to $97 (2.1% Increase)
$105 to $110 (4.76% Increase)
$119 to $124 (4.2 % Increase)

depending on which time of the year you go.

The deluxe pass went up from $599 to $619. (3.3%)

Platinum passes in Orlando went up from $779 to $799 (2.5%)

Disneyland employs over 23,000 employees in California alone, and another 62,000 in Orlando, all employed to make families happy. This costs money.

Expensive is a relative term, but it works out to be really good value considering everything you can see and do.

Unfortunately yes the food is expensive, and I think the trinkets are a rip off, but this doesn't really matter either because people just gobble these things up anyway. Disney (and other parks like Universal) clearly know what they are doing too by adding a gift shop to the exist cue of every attraction. Smart SOB's..!

Anyway, the price increase is tiny. You should still go to Disneyland if you want to (Disney World, Orlando, is bigger, nicer and more modern). But just spend less on everything else. Most of all, just have fun. If you go while secretly complaining about the costs, you will have missed out on a really nice vacation with your family.

Don't forget that these are retail prices too. There might be companies and travel agencies providing discount tickets or coupons to help you save a few bucks.

What a title. Someone who is really poor probably is not even thinking about Disneyland. They can live without it, for sure. Everyone can live without it, so yea it's expensive and they need to build a wall around Disneyland, and Mickey Mouse needs to pay for it.

I don't mind the increase. You're gonna pay out the ass anyway, especially if you travel. Higher admission costs help keep out the riff-raff, and wait times are actually reasonable - especially if you plan well and use fastpass. The CA park was much worse in the 80s-90s.

Waiting an hour in line for one star wars ride?

"The good things in life"

Let's say you're one person that's $144 for a day at Disneyland including parking, not including meals, etc.

Let's say you stay 12 hours, you're paying $12 an hour for Disneyland. What do you get for that?

Let's be generous and say each ride is a 30 minute wait and not take into account time on the ride... you are paying $12 an hour for 2 rides an hour, 24 rides total, that's $6 you pay per ride. This doesn't include time walking trying to find the next ride, watching a parade, paying for meals and deducting the time it takes to eat, time to take pictures, the time waiting in line to use the restroom, etc.

For me it's no big deal and I'm an hour away from Disneyland been there many times love it!

For a family of 4 the cost per hour increases as do cost of meals, and anxiety levels, etc. the more anxiety and higher the cost the less likely the average family is willing to pay for the experience.

But FUCKING SHIT!!! Summer tickets are at $ 124!!!!!!

How can a poor family of 4 even think about going to Disneyland????

$ 124 X 4 = $ 496

plus parking $ 20 (what balls to charge for parking, why not $ 50 you greedy fucks??)

plus 1 fucking meal only = $ 60 (and that's just burger combos)

plus some candy $ 10, no toys.

If you live in Southern California they have local resident pricing and a 1 day ticket is about $50. If you live outside of the S. Cal area and are poor you are likely not thinking about Disneyland as a vacation spot because it would also mean needing to travel there, pay for hotel, food etc.

We pay almost $2k a year for our Disneyland passes for a family of 4. Price goes up each year. Sucks but what are you going to do.

Anyone been in the european disneyland?
I was thinking to take my family there one day. But I have doubts if my daughters would enjoy it. They are not the typical princess kids..

Been to Disneyland Paris when I was a freshman at high school (7-8yrs ago), was fucking awesome. I had doubts that it would be too childish or lame, but we had an amazing day there. Recommended to arrive early (around opening hours), try the best rollercoasters and other bullshit after arriving, or else you'll have to stand in line for a ride for 1.5-2 hours later (from 2pm, the park is crazy). They have this "ticket system" for everything, which is pretty good. You get a ticket which says when you'll have to get back to the rollercoaster (and everything else) without having to stand in line for a long time. Pretty good idea, but a bit annoying when it says "Come back at 18.25" and the park closes at 18.00 (it's just an example, i dunno when it closes). All in all, definitely worth a visit, your kids will love it.

Sorry, not true. $ 50? Maybe in 1984.

Special ass fuck price for LA people: $ 149 !!! for 3 days. I guess if you live in the area, a 3 day pass would work. But for the rest of us, that doesn't work at all. It's still over priced... and I don't think you get 3 days in the main park.

Attendance is down, but their profit is way up up up. Which means thru the years as more and more people can't afford to go, Disney will have to keep raising prices to compensate for their losses. In 10 more years from now, when tickets are $ 200 a pop, the park will be full of rich families, ONLY.

In 2016:

• Revenues for the year increased 6% to a record $55.6 billion.
• Net income for the year increased 12% to a record $9.4 billion.

$ 9,400,000,000 in juicy booty profits.

That's more money than most small countries gross domestic product.

They make billions and billions ANNUALLY and they still have to jack us at the gate??

Disney LA prices

I've gone several times since I was 6 with my family. At no time do I remember it was for "poor" people but for the price you pay - I'll always remember the lines. Most of the day there is waiting. The other thing that has changed is the attitude - early years it was about the kids then it slowly went into marketing forgetting what Walt's focus was on.

Other popular parks are about 1/2 the price for a family of 4 - but Disney is Disney. Not about kids anymore

I'd rather go to Cedar Point. I usually go in the beginning and towards the end of the season to avoid long lines.

I worked there one summer during high school. I remember the price difference from what employees paid for food/pop at the employees area and what visitors paid in the park

It's been about 6 years since I've been down there. I'm still a Disney and Theme Park fan though. If you want to get the most out of a trip, consider some of this advice:

- Consider Universal Studios over Disney. The rides are better and the lines are shorter, and its a little more adult than Disney so you and the older kids can enjoy it.

- If your kids are older than 12, skip the kiddy rides. Universal's Cat in the Hat area is cool to see, but too cutsey for bigger kids.

- If you want to have some serious fun, hit the thrill rides like Universal's Hulk Coaster, Spiderman and Harry Potter rides.

- If you go when its hot, don't miss the water rides at Universal such as Jurassic Park and Dudley Do-rights Ripsaw Falls.

- If you are more into a relaxing good time, Disney World in Florida is perfect. Good mix of thrill and chill rides.

- Don't miss "Mission: Space" at Epcot. If you get this ride, make sure you ask for the "ORANGE". This is the more intense version of the attraction that a couple of people got killed on in 2006. (Hint: Keep your head straight and you won't puke). If you're a sissy, ask for "GREEN".

- Do NOT go on "Universe of Energy" at Epocot. It is 45 minutes long and fucking boring as shit. It's a terrible waste of time. I heard that it may close soon and be replaced with a Guardians of the Galaxy attraction. I hope so.

If you check out MGM, don't miss the Aerosmith Roller Coaster.

If you check out Universal Studios, don't miss: The Simpsons Ride (Formerly, The Institute of Future Technology ).

To make sure you have the best time:

- Buy tickets for low season. It's cheaper and there are less people.

- Always buy the fast passes. Getting to the front of the line saves you hours of time when the parks are busy.

- Buy a Multi-day pass if you buy a multi-park pass. This gives you 2 or more days to see everything so you don't have to rush.

- Stay at a Hotel on the grounds. Their hotels are beautiful, and transportation to and from the parks are free. Some Hotels get you early access to the parks too at least 1 hour before the general public.

Finally, I would have recommended that you check out Pleasure Island at Downtown Disney in Orlando. It was by far the coolest club complex in the 90's and early 2k's but the last time I was there all of the clubs were replaced with stores to by more crap. Sad. (Club Mannequins forever woo!)

I do not understand the appeal of Disneyland. You pay out the ass for tickets, only to stand in line most of the day and then pay $9 for a single slice of pizza.

One time... We went with my wife before we had gotten married. It was in the spring, and it was raining and.... the park was empty. It was great. We went on ride after ride.

We are going down next month, but we get a huge discount because my kid is performing in a competition. I most likely won't be going.

A few years back some friends and I went to Orlando on vacation to go to Disneyworld/Universal etc. It was late September and most days the weather was great, but on the day we went to Universal it rained hard. It was still 80 degrees outside and we're from Oregon so rain doesn't bother us. It felt like we had the park to ourselves. We rode every ride several times and then one of the food places just gave us food for free because they didn't want it to go to waist with no customers. It was one of the most fun days I have ever had.

I went to the Barcelona Aquarium with the kids, was EUR67, I feel fucked but kids sorta liked it. I don't think slow sharks, Chinese toy shop and tons of Russians are worth it.

And see, EUR67 for me is the same as $586 for a poor American.
