Her first apology was her being sincere, realizing how much of an idiot she was.

Then she was sold this 'play the victim instead' tactic obviously by that out of touch lawyer, who clearly thinks the public are all a bunch of retards not seeing what they're doing. It was like an act straight out of a satire movie.
