Can May survive as the leader of the party after such a major fuckup like this? Some major seats held by powerful people in the party have been lost.

I don't see how - If it wasnt for what has happened in Scotland Labour would certainly be in government - It's still possible...

This was a huge disaster for May and the Tories. They were on track to win a landslide and lost support from the beginning.

Corbyn gained ground by promising to spend money you Brits don't have.

It could mean the end of Brexit because the red lines Parliament will lay down have to be agreed by the EU. All the EU has to say is no to those red lies and the UK leaves with an awful deal or doesn't leave.

I hate the Tories with a passion but this result is actually a disaster.

How anyone could even think of voting Labour after watching Diane fuckin' Abbott on Sky News a couple of days ago is beyond me...

Corbyn played an absolute blinder and won big time. He promised to spend, spend and spend again telling people it's all going to come from the pockets of the top 5%.

He said he would get the rule of law back to the UK. While maintaining trading deals. Ensuring the rights of all EU migrants to stay in the UK regardless of whether they're doing a job a Brit can do, unemployed, on benefits, etc.

His bag of goodies was wonderful.

The spending plans were costed way under budget, housing and nationalisation costs were ignored. Saying housing would repay any loans was a con. Council housing loses money most of the time. Nationalised industries in the past lost more money rather than produced a profit. Education was another con, the UK needs more freeloading students in subjects outside the sciences like a hole in the head.

His plans to raise tax revenues relied 100% on the top 5% paying up in full and continue to stay in the UK and spend at the same rate. There was no contingency for the Ratings Agency to put up interest rates, no thought of companies leaving the UK.

As for the EU, he said he would deliver everything the people wanted. Without asking the EU negotiators if they would roll over and say yes. Should they have turned around and said Fuck off, he had nothing to offer.

Brilliant. Had he won it would have been a gigantic foot in the mouth moment. Because he could never have delivered.

May, on the other hand, told the truth about cuts. Either the whole of the UK pays more in tax or cuts will have to continue. Or there's a huge swing to reducing the need to subsidise so many relying on the taxpayers for money.

Here's an example of the stupidity of the campaign.

The plan to make those elderly who own their own homes to pay for their care when they have to go into a home is sensible. Either the "over 70s" who own a home pay for their own care.

Or the people in a job, with a young family trying to buy a house pay for it. They can also put money aside for their own elderly care. That's assuming they have a job that pays well enough to pay enough taxes to be a contributor.

Because as we know many have jobs that require the government topping up their wages.

Very bad for May, but she will remain PM as that is the only option available.

She got the most votes and won the most seats. She will do a deal with minor parties and remain PM.

It is however a right Royal fuck up.

Conservatives do it again...

Trusting in the British public, but the 20% of fuck ups will always fuck with the rest

Now May should step down & let Corbyn do the right things for the Brits, bringing success to everyone & not just the rich. He will tell Trump to fucking stop being a prick & care for the environment & hopefully ask the EU to forgive the previous fuck up of the British public´s idiocy for thinking UKIP were honest & May´s weakness to continue the charade.

Most Brits, now realising the BS from Farage actually want remain...

You really are dreaming. Corbyn gained seats only because he promised the impossible. He was going to spend money he or most Brits don't have.

UK GDP is $2,849 Trillion, Government spending is 42.1% of GDP, ($1.200 trillion), Corbyn promised to spend another $600 billion on projects they would always cost more money. And he lied when he said the top 5% would pay for it.

Even under austerity, the UK is running out of money. Under Corbyn the UK would soon descend into the situation Italy, Spain, Portugal finds themselves in.

As for telling Trump, he's wrong, he's had better people than Corbyn tell him that and it makes no difference.

If the EU is so great for the UK why does the UK have to spend 42% of GDP to keep the country from grinding to a halt?

Most of that money is spent on the welfare state and membership of the EU. Welfare costs grow by the day because of more people needing more benefits every day.

You're blind to the truth or poor and would gain under a Corbyn spending policy.

If either side had adopted two of Trump's policies they would have won with a landslide.

Bring back jobs to the UK. At the moment the Third World is getting richer by getting Western Jobs. From the time of the closure of the shipyards in the North to today, jobs have flowed out of the UK. How many of those, or their children, who used to build ships on Tyneside now have a job? Labour are also to blame for this, the EU is 100% to blame as their policies are geared towards more free trade deals.

Mass migration has allowed bosses to hold down wages for 20 years. The oversupply of any product always lowers the products price. Labour is a product. Lower wages = lowers taxes, + increase costs of the Welfare State. The problem with this is when anyone mentions it the pro-migration lobby talk about banning nurses or start accusing people of being racists. Why ban the most skilled and needed from coming to the UK?

The craziest thing is no party tried to explain why the UK can't keep subsidising the growing numbers of victims of these two policies. The debate was over who would keep spending the most to prop up those victims.

Lucky Farage & Corbyn are completely different! Corbyn plans on creating higher taxes 123k a year, like 50%. This would bring so much more into the country.

Hoping May steps down like she said she would, unless that was BS!

The manifesto includes more borrowing.

Also, there was no contingency for companies leaving the UK. Remember the doom and gloom predictions from the Remainders?

£800,000,000 for 10,000 means paying the 10,000 officers only £16,000 a year over the five years of the parliament. The starting salary for police constables in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is between £19,383 and £22,962.

The £800,000,000 doesn't cover wages, uniforms and equipment or extra costs when the start working, such as the cost of arresting more people.

Housing wasn't included in the costings, claiming it was a capital expenditure and would pay for itself. They planned to build houses for £100,000. That's impossible. Even so with rents of £1,000 per week it would take 20 years to repay the initial costs. Add interest, administration and upkeep the figures are clearly stupid.

Quote:

She will be gone by September but the problems the UK has will still be there. The basis of those problems is, not enough well-paid private sector jobs in companies making profits to support a population of 65 million.

The cost of the Welfare State is growing by the day and stupid promises from Jezz wouldn't make it stop growing. In fact he would increase the cost.

I asked you a simple question. If the EU is so great why does the UK Government need to spend 42% of GDP to stop it all grinding to a halt? And this is with austerity.

Corbyn would have increased that figure. And borrow more.

What's wrong with Muslims?

They're unable to stop killing other Muslims, Christians, and Jews in the ME and when they come to the West they insist on bringing their culture with them. That demands they don't integrate to killing non-Muslims.

The death toll of Islamic wars runs into many millions.

These figures are a rough estimate of the death of non-Muslims by the political act of jihad.

Google "Allah says that you must keep fighting until there is no more persecution and everyone on earth is a Muslim" and see what's wrong with Muslims.

It's becoming clear the Theresa May had two advisors who had far too much power and influence over her. This couldn't have happened unless May wanted it that way. Nick Timothy and Fiona Hill both worked with May at the Home Office and everyone had to know their influence over May and that May wanted it that way.

Why other cabinet ministers never stood up to her and these two buffoons is beyond me.

Corbyn's manifesto was based on promises to tax, borrow and spend. For the time the borrowing was allowed to run rampant it would have boosted the economy. Once stopped, the economy would grind to a halt. That's assuming the private sector stayed in the UK and continued to work hard so it could pay the high taxes.

Irony.

The problem is, what of the increased spending would produce profits that would repay the debt? Gspot can only think of all the freebies being handed out. Is she one of those who won't have to pay for those freebies?
