Fake traffic
For a while now I have been trying to find legit trafic for my site. I know I would have to crack some eggs to get there. But I never thought that so many companies (well known) the will just sale me bots and nothing else or even use those bots to increase their fake ranking. It has become completely ridicules. I will be posting all of those companies with the stats proof of how fake they are.

I can say their traffic is 100% real, since I've been working for them a while ago. What is the quality of their traffic for you, it's up to you to determine. Just for your notification, I'm not affiliate with them in any way. |

Porn is free now.
Human traffic vs Bot Traffic in the adult world will both bring you zero sales. Talk with some of the people on the tube sites. Those old crusty dudes admit they won't pay for anything. They even want free fucks. Sell mainstream shit and use youtube to promote. Or transfer the mind geek technique to mainstream. Steal stuff. Sell on websites, greatly discounted. I have a cousin that did that for a while. He was hitting parking lots. He got caught breaking into cars on Decarie Blvd in Montreal, but he posted bail and changed his name. Advantage of being an illegal. He is back in the same spot. Airports and parking lots. Just don't get greedy and make sure to move locations.

The first question would be what you envision or consider legit traffic for your site (I do not know what kind of site it is and what's the scope).
The second question is what you consider fake traffic. For me that would be: a) bot traffic b) traffic that blindly lands on the site with a huge bounce rate c) traffic that has no way to even see / click the ads or sign up It's no surprise that many saw their ad revenue drop by 40 pct. in the last year alone. You can't, as a network, just charge the same CPM rates over and over while most of your Publishers are simply trying to maximize the amount of impressions. Getting any traffic available, circle jerking and killing the user experience with all sorts of redirects or with an annoying ad overkill. Just take the effort, find a site where your ad shows - and do the following: - check the spot where it shows - check the user experience on the site - click on the content, browse around See what happens - if your experience is so bad that you're about to leave, it's likely you wouldn't even ever see or had any appetite to click on ANY ad. Most of the traffic landing there may feel the same way. And if less people click on the ads - the advertisers can't of course can't continue paying the same rates, which of course also means that the Publisher payouts have to go down as well. I have a solution where a Publisher that really cares about his site will be able to do very well, a solution that's in its 7th year on the market now, and where the payouts are growing, while pretty much everybody else sees their ad revenue go down. BUT it takes two to tango - it will not work well unless the Publisher abandons the mindset of maximizing ad impressions at every cost. As opposed to actually care about the user experience, about his traffic sources, and present the ads in a way that a) they are viewed and well composed b) it makes sense to click on them If anybody wants me to take a look whether and how their ad revenue can be increased hit me up (cb at ctgmedia dot net / skype carlosprague), but please no circle jerk sites as described above.

Some of the worst: PlugRush all bots. TrafficHolder, mega bot system from Russia, with specials on skim traffic, but they advise you 'don't use for sales, use for SEO. ' LOL SEO??? I think that's their loophole for selling bot traffic. The worst, Juicyads, they send blind skim to the banners. Yes, blind skim. Just buy a banner and replace your banner with a blank, and you will still get traffic. Another gfy'er pointed it out to me and I tested it myself. Of course when I sent the data over to the fucking owner, my ENTIRE account got wiped out. That's how they roll. Plugrush won't wipe you out, they are smart, they apologize and grease you up for more, but they won't credit you back when you show the bots in their system. TrafficShop doesn't even have customer service. They call themselves a 'self service' traffic source. LOL So when you find bots there, and you will, (just check your bounce ratio for clicked banners and compare ratios between CPC and CPM) you have to "self service" yourself and fuck your own ass. tip: easy quick test to know you are getting bots, most of the these brokers will send you more clicks with CPC, because you are paying for them, but if you run same campaigns and same spots with CPM, all you get is impressions (that you pay for) and your clicks will become almost non existent. I've been thru at least 10 major brokers this year alone and it's fucking incredible the crime that goes on right in our faces. No regulation at all on these crooks. Now that they know how to send blind skim to your banners (making it look like clicks) you will see very high bounce rates, above 95% at times. I think they blend in 5% real traffic to give the illusion that it's real. And because they send you blind skim, you are getting real IP's... but you don't know where the skim is coming from. I think most of it is basic non adult sites, the cheapest shit skim you can think of, and it's being sent to your banner. And you wonder why your sales are down and your bounce rate is so high? "oh, blame the market" lol yeah, the traffic market. I remember when my banner clicks would have a click thru of 50 to 75% to my sites, min 50%. Now, you are dam lucky to get 1%. The banner traffic clicks and stats look like blind skim. I wish one day a hungry lawyer would put together a class action lawsuit against these mother fucking thieves and wipe them out. And to those who always say, "no, the traffic is real, because how can they stay in business?" LOL They stay in business because every single day there is a new sign up willing to try the their traffic and after a week or so, moves on. They rotate these webmasters weekly or monthly, and THAT is the business. Not selling traffic, but stealing from a constant flow of newbie webmasters that don't know shit about what they are doing online. When their sales tank up, they just 'blame it on the market.' What they don't know is they tanked up because they are buying numbers on a screen with no real humans behind the clicks. FUCK THEM ALL. THE REPS ARE THE BIGGEST LIARS OF ALL TIME. "Our traffic is real" yeah, then you buy it, get fucked, complain and they always say the same thing: "Thank you for bringing this to our attention... we are working hard to remove bots from our system." REMOVE IT??? THEY ARE THE ONES THAT INSTALLED THE SKIM BOTS TO BEGIN WITH!!! ARE WE ALL THAT FUCKING STUPID??? Hey you Mr. Traffic Sellers, FUCK YOU ALL, YOU THIEVING CUNTS. ONE DAY THE SHIT WILL COME FOR YOU. FCC, FBI, AND LEGALLY WIPE YOU OUT OF EXISTENCE. OK, finished with today's rant. |

best to hit up traffic owners directly, often will get better deals than actual buying from brokers.
brokers dont like these tactics though

Advertising is a lot like weight loss. The success of those selling advertising is largely based on customer ignorance and selling them what they WANT to believe - in this case, that being "i'll just put up an ad and increase sales".
Thats not even close to how media buys work. All the traffic you guys complain about has 1) been identified as bad traffic by larger, more experienced buyers who block it 2) is what has been left to new guys coming into a network because you don't know what the good sites are and what the bad are, you are bidding low on everything and experienced guys have blocked all the bad and bid high on the good - meaning you'll never see the good unless you have a budget. Ad buying in both mainstream and adult is 95% retards complaining about everything because they are too stupid and lack the budget to figure things out and the 5% which happily gobbling up the good traffic and competing with each other at the top of the food chain, leaving you the scraps, while you create threads about "bots" to explain your failure. I've never had a broker not refund me when i've identified bot traffic. Even with AdWords. There are some however that are more active in catching them before they affect others (JuicyAds for example). Jay works very hard to deal with people trying to cheat I send him data on a regular basis on what I see and experience and he refunds right away - WHEN they are fake traffic vs someones shitty traffic. Otherwise, it's a weak excuse for failure... because bot traffic is not the reason you'll fail. You are not buying "traffic". You are buying "data". Data which is used to make future decisions. You have to buy the data first, before you have anything to start making decisions on. You will have to spend money to learn. You will need a fast server, fully optimized, uber fast landing pages (plus many to test), you will need CDNs, you will need good traffic tracking software and you will have to test test test test test test and test some more before you'll start finding success. |

and by the way, this idiotic conversation is as old as internet advertising itself. the very first affiliate programs in this business (cybererotica, CEN, maxxxcash etc) all bought traffic (.02/click, .05/click etc) and didn't pay commissions and the result was instantaneously spawning an industry of click bot tools and cheaters.
This is not something new. It's like pointing out that water is wet. Cheating has been happening since day 1 and as has always been the case, only a few actually stick it out, learn and figure out how to deal with it to capitalize on the fact that everyone else is both stupid and lazy and can't be bothered because its easier to just complain on a forum than to actually out-think, out-plan and out-work others. |
