Just thinking out loud here tbh, but have there ever been any experiments in using subliminal messaging hidden in porn videos?

We have all heard of sex being used subliminally in mainstream adverts etc, but I'm thinking the reverse. Real old school. Like the famous 'Drink Coke' and 'Eat Popcorn' messages from experiments done in the 50s...

I could imagine a paysite automatically encoding 'Dont Cancel' and 'Stay A Member' subliminals into their members area videos, but what about attracting non members via tubes?

Say you uploaded a huge amount of lesbian videos from many different sponsors with no watermarks or links to the tubes, and incorporated your own sites URL... So while people are watching, they are constantly getting told "Join HotLesbos.com" - "Visit HotLesbos.com" - "HotLesbos.com = Best Lesbian Videos" etc etc...

My mind says that it could possibly work on a small level, but with all the viewers on the tubes, a small fraction 'doing as they are told' could be a good return... But on the other hand, if it DID work, I'm sure every video would automatically have a 'Join Brazzers.com' message already incorporated into it... If its not already being done that is...

I dunno... What do you think?

You can definitely influence people and change their behaviour, but I don't think flashing single-frame messages work otherwise it would be done all the time.

Filmakers like Stanley Kubrick had all kinds of subliminal tricks to make viewers uneasy. The Hotel in the Shining for example had an impossible interior made purposely to generate unease in the viewer. (The obvious example of this is the bright window behind the Hotel Director Ullman character).

This wasn't subliminal like a single film-frame replacement. I want to say it was far more subtle than that, but in a way its alot more obvious. Your conscious mind would never notice this, but deep in your head, you know something just isn't right.
