EU President Donald Tusk warned that Poland’s government could try to drive the country out of the European Union if it stops being a net recipient of bloc funding, in an interview published on Wednesday.

The former Polish premier and arch-rival of the governing Law and Justice (PiS) party spoke at a time when Poland is mired in conflict with the EU over various issues, including the controversial judicial reforms that led Brussels to launch unprecedented disciplinary proceedings against Warsaw last month.

The countries that are funding the net recipients are the ones benefiting. Eastern Europe is a colony for the west. welcome to 2018 paul - the stats you posted are not up to date - there has been some big changes in the past 9 years.

in regards to poland (meanwhile the BIGGEST receiver of EU money - even greece is 2 levels better) - they should let them go and if hungary protects them then they should go also. it can not be that this countries are founding with EU money new undemocratic dictatorships and trampling on freedom of press, courts and people.

the EU- east extension was really not the best idea they had.
