Shootings (any crime where victim struck with bullet)
Black: 67.5%
Hispanic: 29.2%
White: 2.3%

Murder
Black: 52.4%
Hispanic: 35.9%
White: 7.1%

The idea is that you put as many hurdles between someone with mental illness and legally purchasing a gun as possible.
