"The West Hollywood City Council has voted to remove President Trump’s star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The panel unanimously approved a resolution urging the Los Angeles City Council and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove the star, Mayor John Duran announced in a tweet late Monday.

I hear what you're saying but I think you're celebrating prematurely. The "walk" is under the purview of the chamber of commerce which is not in any way tied to the council. They have promised to review it but took pains to point out that the west Hollywood council had no say over what happens to it

The reason there are no plans to remove the star right now is because they have not convened yet. They're taking up the issue the next time they convene.
