Hi,

I have an adult site that gets between 65k and 80k visits per day, currently I have a few affiliate links which make a little and some popads that make around $500 per month.

Is there a way to maximise the revenue from the site? I feel like I could be earning more from it.

1. Set up PUSH NOTIFICATIONS - the best passive LONG-time earnings

I think CrakRevenue would serve you well.

It's CPA advertising and with that many visits per day you should easily be able to bring in $250-$750 per day using Crak.

I have far less USA traffic than you, and less overall traffic than you per day and bring in more than $500 per month on one of my sites.

I think you would find great success with Crak's plethora of offers and guidance from their affiliate managers.

If you're the type of person who will not settle for a copy and paste banner code and are not afraid to use a little creativity to make some extra $$$, Crak would be perfect for you and your volume of traffic.

Ignore the people telling you anything related to crakrevenue/cpa/cpl/smartlink. As a publisher you're better off selling your space for CPM, thereby letting professional affiliate marketers and program owners deal with monetizing it effectively. The only exception is cams, you want revshare there.

You have a few un-tapped revenue sources:

1. Native ads from exoclick. Make them match the look and feel of your site. They pay good.

2. Native ads for a camsite. You see all those "Online now" widgets on pornhub and xhamster? They work. Check out the chaturbate JSON api, I used it to add an "online now" native widget to my sites and it works fantastic.

3. Skimmed traffic--try trafficshop. I skim 10% of hits after the 3rd pageview, google doesn't seem to care.

4. Push notifications

5. If you're not using banners and IM widgets, start now. I recommend exoclick. IM widgets actually pay pretty decent. Mobile pays a lot better than desktop. Use 300x250 on both desktop and mobile. On mobile you can also do 300x100, but on desktop the advertisers focus heavily on 300x250 so you get better rates

Another option which would be more work but could help a lot, is to join tube affiliate programs like Hubtraffic. Use their APIs to make a widget with some of their videos, which redirect to the video on the main tube. You can make a lot of money redirecting traffic to pornhub and xhamster. You don't have to do a full search engine with millions of videos like tubegalore or whatever, you can just pull in a few videos via API and replace your thumbnails with pornhub's top videos once per day.

I coded it myself using the chaturbate JSON API

In my case, I have a backend cronjob that reads all of the "online now" JSON data from chaturbate every few minutes and writes it to redis. Then when my scripts need to render the widgets, they can just read the JSON data from redis and do whatever they need to. The JSON API contains all the information you need to make a widget: Thumbnail URLs, model names, chat room descriptions, viewer count, etc etc. So once you pull in this data you just write it into your web page, and then style it with CSS to look like the rest of your content. Amazingly profitable (but takes at least 6 months to build up).

You can also do it front-end from Javascript but it's slower for the end user and more likely to piss off Chaturbate (because you'll generate at least 1 API request per user [which might overload the chaturbate API], instead of 1 API request every couple minutes [which the chaturbate API is certainly equipped to handle])

I agree that if the traffic is tier1 then cams is a good option. People tend be hellbound on revshare which we as a cpa network tend to disagree with. Revs can be great on the long term but if you have big volume of unique visitors then you could test our webcam smartlink at camsperformance.com.

With the size of pps payouts you'll be in positive ROI in no time and very happy with the results.

Crakrevenue is the best in the industry if you're a media buyer or are trying to put up niche money sites to promote specific offers. It's almost pointless for a publisher with general, untargeted organic traffic (which, with 65k organic visits per day, is almost certainly what OP has--if that shit was targeted traffic, he'd be banking like crazy, but it's general/untargeted, so he's struggling to monetize it).

I've tested Crakrevenue smartlinks for my pop/skim traffic, and I've tested Crakrevenue smart banners, many times over the years. They cannot compete with Exoclick.

Think about it, there's an entire industry of media buyers who can run their ads on your site via CPM platforms like Exoclick. Ads that convert get kept and the Ads that don't get cut, leading to better CPM for you. As a single individual you can't hope to do better than that...even with smartlinks and smart banners, because they can't optimize for YOUR SITE's specific traffic; they only optimize for GEO/browser/etc. The media buying industry can optimize for YOUR SITE's traffic, because ads that work for your site are kept, and ads that are unprofitable on your site are cut. (The actual process here is that, a media buyer buys for example popunders on Exoclick's RON [ie all sites exoclick has available] and tracks the eCPA of each site they're getting traffic from, and keeps the profitable sites and cuts the bad ones.)

Ad fatigue is also a major issue using smartlinks/banners--Since they're not optimizing for YOUR SITE, but instead the GEO/browser/etc, they'll continue running the best ads for the GEO long after your users have seen the ad 10 times and it won't convert anymore. With CPM once an ad is exhausted for your traffic, the media buyer will notice and cut the placement, while other media buyers work to find new offers/creatives that continue to optimize for YOUR SITE's traffic.

If running CPA was so smart you'd see Pornhub and xHamster doing it...but they don't, they sell EVERYTHING for CPM, except for cams and a few navbar tabs.

Personally I would say it is *you* who don't have a clue about how smartlinks/banners help optimize traffic monetization. It's media buyers using them as fallbacks, not publishers using them as main monetization sources.
