Hack The Box :: Penetration Testing Labs

Since you enjoy this kind of stuff. I like it so much, I signed up for premium.

After a machine is retired people will do walk throughs and show how it is done. IPPSEC on youtube is the best. The coolest thing is the boxes mimic real hacks.

Like the stratosphere machine , has the struts issue that caused Equifax to get hacked.

Thanks. I've watched about ten minutes of it so far and it really is interesting to watch. I haven't done grep in ten years! I can't even remember how to get to the dos prompt. Tomorrows I'll finish it.

I knew many hackers and crackers and would always ask the hows and whys. Very few gave information so I could hack or crack but I picked up bits and pieces.

I once challenged a kid who claimed he could take out an ISP. Within an hour, the Eastern states' AT&T network was down. ABC News announcement about the outage left me in awe. I knew a group he was part of may have done it but her hack into other sites to show me he could. AlL that talent used the wrong way.

I knew phreakers when living in Cambridge . I had free long-distance service for a long time. Then guilt took over and I never did it again.

It just fascinated me when people did this on their own, just by sheer determination to learn.
