Walmart should be utilizing their stores in the same way.. Instead, this past christmas I ordered my son a toy online from there.. It gets shipped to the store taking 3 days or so. I go into the store the next day and there's about 50 of them all stacked up by the registers untouched for the same price. Meanwhile I'm waiting on the online order days later.

The old empty malls are amazing really.... It's amazing how they used to the hub for a large amount of social activity in the 1980s and now they've died....

Our local mall is trying to transform itself into more of a destination than a mall..... We have a huge food court with lots of interesting restaurants, plus a large outside area with even more restaurants.

The Swansea Mall was valued at seventeen million dollars. On auction last week it went for six point nine million dollars. The biggest tax payer in town.

A local factory outlet mall with a dozen stores, half rented, was sold recently for a few million dollars. No restaurant allowed due to zoning. The town won’t budge on that but across the street is a diner. It’s right in front of the jail. It’s about one hundred yards away but buses bring seniors to the factory outlet and the walk is long. They shlep on the bus to go there for food . The town is losing millions in taxes by not allowing food in the mall. Hopefully the new owners will change their mind.

The shoe outlet stores were great. I’d get brand-name running and jogging sneakers at half price.

I went by an Amazon warehouse and saw at least one hundred trucks. Mostly Amazon but many from other companies, being painted or restored. They buy used trucks and refurnish them and save money.

I think it's entirely possible that very far into the future Amazon will open brick-and-mortar stores where people can go and actually touch the merchandise. What do you think?

Here's a real business man who actually makes money instead of borrowing it and is also innovating many things. All started from one man with an idea.

And today we have this story about the world's fakest businessman who inherited a large sum of money and many bailouts from daddy. He's in debt up to his ears and under investigation for many crimes and will someday lose his freedom, which he doesn't deserve. Or we'll all get lucky when he chokes on a KFC bone and faceplants his mashed potatoes.

I read that they closed the stores they had in malls. I didn’t get into the story as I got distracted.

I think they have a great opportunity to sell but the plans will take time. Locations, rents, product inventory, product need, personnel, etc.

Can they keep the prices low if they have to pay distribution, rent, personnel, etc? Compare the costs of an Amazon employee pulling stock, entering orders, packaging, shipping and the return process versus a store. More sales versus lower profits. Will it all equal out or could they lose?

People afraid to enter credit card information online could be happy. People needing items fast would be happy. Browser customers would love browsing.

If they’re smart, they’ll expand into stores or franchises. You’d need $200k to invest at a minimum. Stores are Amazon’s investment.
