Payment Processors Without Visa/MC Extra Fees?
howdy. just wondering what adult payment processors are out there that don't charge the $500/annual fee for both visa & mastercard (like ccbill does)?
thanks...

The annual charge is from Visa / MC themselves - Not the billing companies. Pretty much all REPUTABLE billing companies will be charging you this fee, as they have to pay it VISA / MC...
Some companies used to offer to cover the fees themselves, in order to gain your business, but that was some time ago, when billing was a lot more lucrative for ALL concerned... I'd just simply call it a 'cost of doing business' and write it off against your tax return. That said though, iirc correctly Zombaio didn't 'charge' the fees, but covered them themselves, however I have yet to hear a good report about them, from either a merchant or an affiliate... ![]() |

Wasn't it Verotel that would cover the fee (at least the first year) if you are moving to them from another biller?

https://www.verotel.com/en/pricechart.html Personally though, I would trust verotel with those restrictions, but I certainly wouldn't trust anyone else who said - New customer? No History? We will wave the fees... ![]() |

Your mileage may vary, but, in my experience, Verotel do not pay.

The yearly fee for high risk is really just part of the game. I have a few accounts running high-volume and it's just the way it goes. Epoch and CCBill are going to be your more cost-efficient routes as a startup. I wouldn't recommend getting your own MIDs until you are doing at least $10k a month, both for reasons of hassle and the finances just don't make sense for anything less.

Yow. Been a while since I’ve paid for credit card processing but I think I paid $100 yearly. But that was after a huge problem with the son of the credit card department president and his demand for $2k for signing up. Credit card company had to get involved as they were charging $100/year but these twits collected much more and blamed the companies. Once I had in writing that one was lying and literally stealing money from businesses, I met with Visa representatives to fix it.
Brings back memories of finding processor in the back pages of Playboy with a tiny text ad. This was before the crackdown on adult processing ever happened. You could buy a case of liquor with a credit card and drink a few bottles, drive and kill people. But staying home and jacking off to some legal sex videos was not allowed via your credit card

thanks all. wanted to check in on this topic (too lazy to google haha)
the thing that pisses me off about the fees is it's for "at risk accounts", which they consider all adult sites to be. we used ccbill...and paid the $1k/year...for about 10 or so years. we probably had about 1 chargeback a year on avg. one would think that after 10 years of (basically) no chargebacks that we've more than proven not to be an "at risk" account.

![]() But ya nothing is cheaper than the $500 for Visa and $500 for MC with ccbill and anything you find with cheaper fees will not make you as much. I live in a town under 1k and if I go to the local liquor store they use a tablet and Square to run cc charges cause the fee is less. I don't like using it but now I just bring my own e-pen to sign and it's not that big of a deal (I hate signing with my finger).
