Entrance terms required by law?

I'm trying to figure out what's the right way to cover my ass

On first visit:
Chaturbate completely blocks the page until users agree they are over 18 and accept terms.
LiveJasmin let you browse their website and only show a small overlay until you agree to their terms.
PornHub doesn't require users to agree to terms at all.

Clearly they all know what they're doing and they all want to lower their bounce rate as much as possible, so how come they're so different?

against WHO you want to cover your ass?

live jasmin and chaturbate lives from paying customers

pornhub lives from ad impressions - so why they should use one page impression for a site that does not have ads?

as far as i know there is no country law that accepts a click on "I am over 18" as a valid child protection (but I really donīt know ALL laws from all countries)

I honestly don't know

There must be some law requiring users to confirm they're over 18, otherwise why would most websites have that?

So you have a CB white label? Don't worry about it...

Unless you're earning enough to afford a lawyer you should let the affiliate program worry about it.....

It's not a whitelabel, it's an affiliate website.
The website is developed and hosted by me, the models details and the embedded streams are provided by Chaturbate.

many websites do that to avoid bot traffic or use it to detect an adblocker

as far as I know there is no law anywhere that would see this as a sufficient child protection.

While "warning page" might not be explicitly required by law, by including this warning page you can prove you had no intent to show pornography to minors or make it accessible to minors, which is punishable by 1 to 5 years in prison , alternatively 3 to 8 years in prison where I live.

So yes, having a warning page is a good idea for sure.

Wrong.

Your domain = your responsibility

You should ask a lawyer, but I would never publish anything porn related (even stories without pics) without a warning page. And I consulted this with my lawyer.

See my reply to thommy.

Depends on where you live, where your company is, and where you are hosted mainly.

Either way, at the very least it may be wise to add the RTA tags to all your adult pages.
