Adult companies with $$$

The time is now to diversify into mainstream indie niche films. Low budget ( in the $25-99k range)
and getting 30%-50% return on investment. It is possible and it is very doable. Repeatable templates being built right now.

I've seen a company raise $1 million in crowdfunding putting out 3 films a year. Low budgeted horrors and action. But what they haven't added to the pie is the ability to create ancillary merchandise based on the intellectual properties or base it off existing IPs such as comic books.

Interested in more information email me at Occultpressinfo@gmail.com

I left the webmaster game about 8 years ago, been crowdfunding $xxx, xxx a year since then in publishing comics, optioned a few IPs to Hollywood, but it is so damn slow and too much red tape. Just going at it myself and the beautiful thing about it, I own all my new properties outright and if I produce my own films/ tv/ web series that is just even more juice to build on.

That's a good cost. I'd love to see some if you want to send me an email.

I currently have 3 films on Prime that I optioned the IPs out...I don't make hardly shit on them. but I clean up on the comics in which they are based on. So I'm getting rid of the middle man and just make my own productions..control it from concept to completion and distribution

Aside our adult stuff we are also doing mainstream movies and TV shows ( shooting in our own 50,000 sq ft 4 stage studio)... Over the years we went thru the "gamet" of movies from about 3 mil. a piece ( during the good old VHS rentals days) down to the last one at about 500 K. Barely making our money back... and voila 2 years later, a good buddy of mine who owns a big AVOD platform approached us with almost the same proposal you are talking about ... " Making horror/drama/thriller movies for max of 50 K cash and consideration". My answer was NO there is NO upside in it, he claims there is. Your post here is for the 2nd time I am hearing this formulae.

FYI: I have been to every AFMA /Cannes and Berlin market since 1992 as a distributor until about 2005. That being with staff, booths, add budgets etc.... After that it made NO economic sense. I have skipped AFMA but still do Cannes and Berlin....it is a famine there for anything unless it has a huge budget !!

... but if you have a distribution model where there is some money to be made ,I am interested. I do NOT need crowd funding I can finance my share myself.

I will watch this thread and see how it develops.

I applaud all of you that have ventured out to mainstream channels, however I am surprised by the risk to reward ratio quoted.

Off the top of my head, I would state that I would never invest 25-99,000 or 500,000 into anything unless the payout was 10 to 1.

Now if the repeat micro investment formula was 1-2000, and the expected net return was 2 to 1, I would walk down that path.

What am I not understanding here?

The festivals, the ass kissing fests and awards shows are D.O.A. My template will bring in the profit before the 1st frame of film is shot plus the ongoing ancillary products...I've been a self publisher for 30 years and for past 7 years self distribution with my books...now use that same template for low budget films...BOOM BOOM BOOM...Keep it cheap, RINSE AND REPEAT

A $25k-$99k movie will bring upwards of $200-500k and trickles of cash forever pushing those figures to $x,xxx, xxx It's called Evergreen products...how many of us watch movies that are 20-30 years old eall the time...we do this in the NICHE market Horror/comics etc.

We've got one in post right now. Budget just shy of $50k, with distribution in place.

hey...that's right, I'm trying to school these boys J. hit me up on FB and let me know about your movie..I'm not going through old school distribution anymore..All they do is take your movie and MAYBE give you a little money. I'm going straight to consumers and setting up a deal similar to the QUBI app but for action animation for grown ups..comic book style. Mid-small range Distributor business model of ripping off hungry filmmakers are coming to an end.

Can you give a quick break down of how this works?

Like if someone asked me how to make money with a paysite I would say..

Produce content > Put it behind a paywall > Create tour showcasing content > Drive traffic > People sign up for recurring memberships > grow memberbase > profit.

Like what is the process here? Someone drops 100k in your lap > > > > profit?

Fill in the blanks.

Do you buy a script / hire director / hire actors / produce movie / sell it? Does someone buy it outright? Do you get royalties from it?

Not posting it here..interested parties can hit me up. If you are wanting me to put it all in your lap on a post, I don't want to fuck with you anyway. Click some keys.
All in-house, scripts, IPs, merchandise, royalties are made of course. I am a 1 man army.

.... and BTW, I did try to be nice and have asked reasonable questions. You responded with an abusive language. I did not want to hurt your feelings, but you may be aware that soliciting an investment without a prospectus is illegal in all civilized countries, so unless you live in Moldova you better pull back your "offer" before the FBI shows up on your doorstep ! Otherwise
