‘The end is in sight’: COVID-19 deaths at lowest levels since March 2020, WHO says

The number of reported deaths worldwide from COVID-19 was the lowest last week since March 2020 – a positive sign that the end of the pandemic that has killed at least six million people is in view, the World Health Organization says.

Globally, the number of new weekly deaths decreased by 22 per cent the week of Sept. 5-11 compared to the previous week, with just under 11,000 fatalities reported, according to WHO data.

The number of new weekly cases also decreased by 28 per cent last week, with more than 3.1 million new cases reported.

While WHO cautions these case numbers are an “underestimate” due to testing strategies by many countries that result in lower overall detections, the current downward trends are cause for optimism.

“We have never been in a better position to end the pandemic. We're not there yet, but the end is in sight,” WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Wednesday during a briefing in Geneva.

However, now is not the time for countries to let their guard down, Tedros warned.

“A marathon runner does not stop when the finish line comes into view. She runs harder with all the energy she has left. So must we,” he said.

“We can see the finish line. We are in a winning position. But now is the worst time to stop running."

no mandates for locals nation-wide except for health care/care home workers, but it's more difficult to enter the country than leave it. this gov actually earned the trust of the people regarding this issue which considering their record (and historical facts) is astonishing

but yeah, you gotta be vaxxed with a PCR test to set foot on this land

there was a spike at the beginning of the year, but since then, total downward trend. I don't mask up around locals, and I am technically at higher risk due to some serious health issues

in terms of monkeypox, last I heard there's four cases nation-wide. pretty much everyone here wears their boots and male or female I've always practised going down on the person before fucking and part of that is checking for signs of VD

got an ingrown hair on my pubis from waxing and working out in tight undies and paranoid on cam that peeps will think I have the pox. it's slightly red on the one area of my body never exposed to the sun-I sunbathe in a very small bikini (often topless if no tourists are at the surrounding B and B's) on my balcony, so still kinda stands out. salt water compresses are fixing that (far more effective that medicinal creams), but not an overnight process

I've seen monkeypox in action on cam though. I ignore it as it doesn't impact me but def not pretty, not like Imma shame someone for it tho. long as I'm not at risk I take people as they are

but yeah, we're vaxxed and living our lives like normal

Worth noting that in the UK deaths were recorded from with covid and not from covid.

So as you know, most deaths were people aged 70 or older with health problems who would have died anyway.

We had people die from other conditions, even falling, where the death was recorded as with covid.

The deaths from covid are believed to be much lower.

Out of resect for myself, I have never worn a mask (as they are in most cases non medical grade). Plus the fact no one has produced evidence to show wearing a non medical mask (often with gaps on the sides) has any use at all.

As you know, they now state non medical masks do nothing for yourself and may have a small chance of stopping others getting covid (who probably have had covid so the act is stupid).

However if you wish to walk around in a non medical mask for no other reason than to make stupid people feel safe, that is your choice. However my fear would be all the particles of material you breath in, and if they will give you lung cancer in a few years time.

Also, covid will not go away, so the moment people stopped the lockdowns, everybody who tried not to get covid, probably did. But most will not notice as for most healthy persons under 70, the systems are very mild.

I used to smoke, but quit many years ago, I didn't like taking that risk, and for you, by all means smoke as much as you like, but that strengthens my point, I think someday you'll have a negative effect of that, (sorry) but you are free to do it.

So during the whole crisis less people died in Holland of Corona under 60, than died in a traffic accident. About 600 people in 2,5 years due/with corona, in traffic accidents around 300 people under 60 got killed every year . Better watch out young people, there are cars everywhere! And masks or jabs won't help.

Masking didn't do shit in 99% of the cases. That is why Germany mandated N95 mask, that work. If you need them when young and healthy is another question. I must still wear mask when i take the bus here, while windows open and 100% uses a useless mask, including me cause i prefer breathing when it is hot. And everyone, including me, takes 12 hours flights in planes without mask. In Mexico everything was open and running.

When i was in Holland last months i spend little time in bars and restaurants. Cause i avoid going out in any restaurant that worked with a QR Code in Holland (that didn't work either, only forcing people taking shots). Many now in financial problems and depending on government help. They got what they voted for.

Still many vaccinazi countries; Canada, Colombia, Brazil, USA that block unvaccinated people traveling.

And now there are some mentall issues with the youth. The amount of young girls with mental problems doubled.

The Omicron was the best vaccine.

I know I am wasting my time, because those who are into covid lockdowns are in fear, and just want to feel safe, and want to believe something that was not in fact told to them.
