I am not sure if low power mans can cope with 4k. When it comes to editing film, how advanced do you want to go. Just a simple edit or full colour correcting and layers and fancy stuff?

GIMP - Free alternative to photoshop, and extremely similar in the way that it operates. Also, an abundance of short and succinct 'How do I...???' type tutorials on YouTube make any teething issues a breeze...

Davinci Resolve Studio and After Effects are what I use for Video Editing and Motion Grahphics.
Everything starts in Resolve and is finished up in After Effects. |
